• Sent to Triple-A
Roupp was optioned to Triple-A Sacramento on Monday, per MLB's transaction log.

Advice: Roupp was hit hard for three runs on three hits and two walks while striking out two over 2.2 innings Sunday against the Dodgers, and his performance has resulted in a demotion. The club has yet to make a corresponding move. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:37 pm

  • Yields five runs in bulk role
Wilson did not factor into the decision in Monday's 8-7 loss to the Rockies, allowing five runs on seven hits and two walks over four innings. He struck out three.

Advice: After pitching to a 5.19 ERA across 26 innings in June, Wilson continued his run of poor performance in Coors Field. The Milwaukee right-hander allowed five or more runs for the third time in his last five appearances. He now sports a 4.27 ERA, 1.28 WHIP and a 62:28 K:BB over 78 innings this season. Things aren't going to get easier for Wilson, as he's currently scheduled to make his next outing versus the Dodgers in Los Angeles. It is currently unknown whether he will follow an opener again. • Secures fourth save
Garrett earned the save in Monday's 9-7 win over the Nationals. He faced two batters, allowing one hit and striking out one.

Advice: With Edwin Diaz still out due to suspension, Garrett entered with a three-run lead and two outs in the 10th inning. The previous reliever, Tyler Jay, left runners on first and second to clean up. After allowing a run-scoring single to Keibert Ruiz, Garrett punched out Luis Garcia to bring New York back to .500. Diaz is eligible to return from suspension July 6, but until that time, Garrett looks to be the favorite for saves in the Mets' bullpen. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:53 pm
  • Quality start in no-decision
Peterson did not factor into the decision in Monday's 9-7 win versus Washington, allowing two runs on seven hits and one walk over 6.1 innings. He struck out two.

Advice: The New York southpaw scattered seven singles en route to his third quality start of 2024. After issuing eight free passes across 10.1 innings in his previous two outings, Peterson was much sharper in this appearance, walking fewer than two for just the second time this season in six starts. The 28-year-old now sports a 3.51 ERA, 1.44 WHIP and 22:14 K:BB in 33.1 overall innings. He is currently slated to make his next start against the Pirates in Pittsburgh this weekend. • David Peterson turns in quality start for Mets
David Peterson threw 6 1/3 innings of two-run ball Monday in a no-decision against the Nationals.

Advice: Peterson struck out just two and gave up seven hits, but since he’s quite good at keeping the ball on the ground, those hits produced just 10 total bases. He remained 3-0 with a 3.51 ERA through six starts. We don’t entirely trust him at this point, but he’s a valid option in deeper leagues. He’ll face the Pirates next. • Reed Garrett records one-out save versus Nats
Reed Garrett got a one-out save against the Nationals on Monday.

Advice: Tyler Jay struggled in the bottom of the 10th after the Mets scored six runs in the top of the inning, so Garrett got an easy save chance. Needing just one out with a three-run lead, he gave up a single to Keibert Ruiz before retiring Luis García Jr. to end the game. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:32 pm
  • Hunter Harvey gives up five runs in relief loss
Hunter Harvey allowed five runs — four earned —in the top of the 10th to take a loss to the Mets on Monday.

Advice: It’s the third time in a month that Harvey has allowed at least three runs, and his ERA has doubled from 2.08 on June 2 to 4.24 now. Apart from these three really bad outings, he’s done just fine. Still, we’re not sure he makes much sense on mixed-league rosters at this point; maybe there’s a chance the Nationals will trade Kyle Finnegan and make Harvey their closer, but it seems quite a bit more likely that they’ll keep both or trade both. Because Harvey spent considerable time on the major league IL before he established himself, he has just one more year to go before he’s eligible for free agency. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:32 pm
  • Giants return Landen Roupp to minors
Giants optioned RHP Landen Roupp to Triple-A Sacramento.

Advice: Roupp spent just one day in the majors and gave up three runs over 2 2/3 innings in relief against the Dodgers. There hasn’t been any word on who is taking his roster spot. Perhaps the Giants will call up Mason Black for a few days until Kyle Harrison rejoins the rotation. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:09 pm

  • Becomes free agent
Bowman opted out of his contract and was granted his release Monday, Jon Heyman of the New York Post reports.

Advice: Bowman put pen to paper on a minor-league contract June 16 after electing free agency June 14, but he'll once again test the open market after struggling at Triple-A Tacoma. He surrendered one run in four of his last five relief appearances prior to opting out. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 5:07 pm
