• MRI comes back negative
An MRI on Seager's left wrist has come back negative, Evan Grant of The Dallas Morning News reports.

Advice: X-rays had also previously came back clean, so Seager's return to the Rangers' lineup will be determined by how much discomfort and swelling he's dealing with. The shortstop was injured when he was struck by a pitch Saturday in Baltimore and didn't play Sunday's game, but he has managed to avoid a serious injury and should be considered day-to-day. Texas has a team off day Monday before starting a series at home against the Padres on Tuesday. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 2:38 pm

  • Isiah Kiner-Falefa (knee) scratched from lineup
Isiah Kiner-Falefa was removed from Monday’s starting lineup with a left knee injury.

Advice: There are no details yet on the severity of the injury, but we’ll provide an update when we have it. Kevin Kiermaier is now in the game in center field as the Blue Jays juggled the positions for their starting lineup. Rotoworld Yesterday, 12:46 pm

  • Late scratch from lineup Monday
Kiner-Falefa was scratched from the lineup ahead of Monday's game against the Astros due to a left knee injury, Keegan Matheson of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Kiner-Falefa played the full nine innings in Sunday's 8-1 loss to the Yankees and wasn't known to be dealing with any sort of injury leading up to Monday's 3:07 p.m. ET opening pitch, so he may have hurt his knee at some point during pregame warmups. The Blue Jays will likely shed more light on Kiner-Falefa's situation later Monday. Kevin Kiermaier was a late addition to the Toronto lineup as a replacement for Kiner-Falefa, who saw his 13-game hit streak come to an end with an 0-for-4 showing Sunday. • Slated for more time at third base
Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said Sunday that Taylor will have more of a "runway" to play third base, David Vassegh of AM 570 LA Sports reports.

Advice: Third base has been a weakness for the Dodgers since Max Muncy landed on the injured list with an oblique injury May 17. The team made a trade in mid-June for Cavan Biggio, but he's struggled to a .188 batting average and 33.3 percent strikeout rate in 12 games with Los Angeles. Taylor had a disastrous start to the campaign -- he was hitting .095 with a 39.2 percent punchout rate over 36 contests through June 6 -- but has turned things around of late, slashing .385/.448/.731 with four extra-base hits (including two homers), four RBI, seven runs and two thefts over his past 11 games. He started at third base Sunday against San Francisco and collected a home run, a double and two RBI, and Roberts has indicated that Taylor will start at the hot corner again in the team's next game (Tuesday versus Arizona), per David Vassegh of AM 570 LA Sports. If Taylor keeps his momentum going, he could keep the primary third base job until Muncy returns to action, which likely won't happen until after the All-Star break. Biggio and Enrique Hernandez are the other options to log time at the hot corner for the time being. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:59 am

  • Late entrant into lineup
Clement will start at third base and bat ninth in Monday's game against the Astros.

Advice: Clement wasn't in the Blue Jays' initial lineup, but he'll get his third straight start after he was a late addition in place of Vladimir Guerrero (finger), who was scratched. Guerrero is considered day-to-day, and once he's able to rejoin the lineup, Clement will likely return to his usual bench role. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:19 am

  • Productive in Sunday's loss
Crawford went 1-for-4 with a walk and a stolen base in a loss to to the Twins on Sunday.

Advice: Crawford reached safely for the 10th straight game with his single, pushing his average to a solid .263 over that span. The stolen base was Crawford's fourth of the season, his highest total since the 2020 campaign. While the veteran shortstop's current stretch of hitting is easily his most productive of the season, Crawford is still sitting on a .215 average and .674 OPS across 61 games. • Tallies three hits in loss
Hernandez went 3-for-4 with a double and a run Sunday in a loss to San Francisco.

Advice: Hernandez accounted for three of the Dodgers' eight hits in the contest as he recorded his first multi-hit performance since May 29. The utility man has remained an inconsistent part of the team's lineup despite injuries to Max Muncy (oblique) and Mookie Betts (wrist). Hernandez has started just three of the Dodgers' past seven games, and he carries a mediocre .208/.274/.312 slash line along with four homers and 12 RBI over 190 plate appearances on the campaign. • Swipes 14th bag
Abrams went 1-for-2 with two walks and a stolen base in Sunday's loss to the Rays.

Advice: The Nationals had only three hits on the afternoon, so while Abrams was busy on the basepaths, his efforts couldn't generate any offense. The 23-year-old shortstop had been slumping heading into June, but he wrapped up the month with a dazzling .373/.464/.663 slash line in 97 plate appearances, adding four of his 13 homers on the season and six of his 14 steals. • Wraps up huge June with three hits
Merrill went 3-for-4 with a double and a run in Sunday's loss to Boston.

Advice: Merrill was the only Padre to notch multiple hits in the contest, and he scored the team's only run after belting a one-out double in the seventh inning. The rookie finished June with back-to-back three-hit games, with half of his knocks during the pair of contests going for extra bases. Merrill swung a hot bat for most of the month, and he finished June with a .320/.346/.650 slash line along with nine home runs, 20 RBI, 17 runs and two stolen bases. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:39 am
