• Jose Miranda goes 5-for-5 to lead Twins
Jose Miranda finished 5-for-5 with three doubles and four runs scored Thursday as the Twins topped the Tigers 12-3 in a rain-shortened game.

Advice: The contest was delayed in the bottom of the seventh and eventually called. Miranda has hit in eight straight games, raising his average to .312. Over the last 30 days, he’s hitting a robust .379/.434/.586 with as many extra-base hits as strikeouts (13). It seems like last year’s struggles really were all about his troublesome right shoulder, and he’s back looking very much like a long-term regular now. Rotoworld Today, 1:31 pm

  • Ryan Jeffers goes 3-for-5, homers in rout
Ryan Jeffers went 3-for-5 with a homer, a double and four RBI against the Tigers on Thursday.

Advice: He was also hit by a pitch in the seventh on what proved to be the last play in a rain-shortened game. Jeffers had a great first month and a half, followed by a bad second month and a half; he came into this one batting .157/.252/.269 since May 15. Hopefully, this was the start of him getting untracked and going back to being a viable option in one-catcher mixed leagues. Rotoworld Today, 1:31 pm

  • Resuming rehab assignment
Davis (concussion) will resume a rehab assignment with Triple-A Indianapolis on Thursday, Noah Hiles of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.

Advice: Davis was pulled off a rehab assignment with Double-A Altoona this past weekend after he experienced recurring concussion symptoms. However, he's evidently passed the necessary protocols and will resume things in Indianapolis. Davis could be ready for activation soon if he can avoid another setback, but he's not a given to return to the big-league roster at that time. Rotowire.com Today, 1:15 pm

  • Sitting again Thursday
Arcia (tooth) isn't in Atlanta's lineup for Thursday's game versus the Giants.

Advice: Arcia will miss a third straight game Thursday as he continues to deal with an abscessed tooth. Zack Short will pick up another start at shortstop as a result and bat ninth. Rotowire.com Today, 1:07 pm

  • Mitch Garver back in lineup Thursday vs. Orioles
Mitch Garver (wrist) is back in the lineup for Thursday’s game against the Orioles.

Advice: Garver is back at designated hitter for Thursday’s game following a brief two-game absence due to a right wrist contusion. Rotoworld Today, 12:04 pm

  • Back in Seattle lineup
Garver (wrist) will start at designated hitter and bat second in Thursday's game versus the Orioles.

Advice: Garver was used as a pinch hitter in Wednesday's game and is now back in the lineup after missing two starts with a sore wrist. He and his teammates will be tasked with solving Baltimore ace Corbin Burnes. Rotowire.com Today, 10:07 am

  • Makes pinch-hit cameo Wednesday
Garver (wrist) entered Wednesday's 4-1 loss to the Orioles as a pinch hitter in the eighth inning and singled in his one plate appearance.

Advice: Garver was out of the starting nine for the second straight day after being hit by a pitch in the wrist Sunday against the Twins, but his ability to step into the batter's box and put some good wood on the ball would seem to bode well for his recovery. The veteran offseason addition, who snapped a brief 0-for-9 skid with his timely knock, could find himself back in the lineup for Thursday's series finale against the Orioles, although manager Scott Servais said before Wednesday's game that Garver wasn't fully pain-free yet, per MLB.com. • Gets aboard three times
Profar went 2-for-4 with a walk, one stolen base and one run scored in Wednesday's 6-4 win over the Rangers.

Advice: Profar saw a 13-game hitting streak end Tuesday, but he bounced right back in Wednesday's win. The outfielder also logged his fifth steal of the season and his first since June 6. Overall, he's maintained an excellent .314/.407/.472 slash line with 11 home runs, 55 RBI, 48 runs scored and 15 doubles through 88 contests. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:23 pm
  • Jesús Sánchez collects three hits, RBI in loss
Jesús Sánchez went 3-for-4 with an RBI on Wednesday in the Marlins’ loss to the Red Sox.

Advice: Sánchez was one of the few bright spots for Miami in this one as he opened the scoring with a run-scoring single off Red Sox starter Brayan Bello and wound up finishing with three hits. Unfortunately, the rest of the Marlins’ lineup wound up tallying just six hits combined in an eventual blowout loss. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:40 pm
