      Jesús Sánchez homered, doubled twice and walked Friday in leading the Marlins to an 8-2 defeat of the Rangers.

      Advice: Finally. Sánchez increased his extra-base hit total by 50% tonight, going from six to nine. Statcast thinks he’s been one of the league’s unluckiest hitters and his hard-hit rate and strikeout rates are both better than his career norms, so odds are that his .657 OPS will continue to climb. He then smacked a one-out double in the seventh inning and raced around to score on a two-out single by Johan Rojas.       Lee (shoulder) will undergo surgery Tuesday, Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.

      Advice: The procedure will address the torn labrum in Lee's left shoulder, which he sustained May 12 against the Reds.       Rays manager Kevin Cash said Thursday that Lowe (oblique) will begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A Durham this weekend and hopes to be activated from the 10-day injured list Tuesday versus the Marlins, Ryan Bass of Bally Sports Sun reports.

      Advice: Last week, Lowe made his second trip to the IL this season with a right oblique strain. The strain was deemed mild, allowing him to resume baseball activities ahead of this weekend's rehab assignment.
