    • Big power display Friday
Sanchez went 3-for-3 with a walk, two doubles, a three-run home run and a second run scored in Friday's 8-2 win over the Rangers.

Advice: He took Jesus Tinoco deep in the seventh inning, Sanchez's second long ball in as many games but only his fourth of the year. The 26-year-old outfielder had snapped a 29-game homer drought with his blast Wednesday, and he's suddenly caught fire at the plate, batting .391 (9-for-23) over the last seven contests. Despite the surge, Sanchez is slashing just .245/.302/.355 on the season. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 6:31 am

    • Josh Lowe (oblique) posts two hits Friday at AAA
Josh Lowe (oblique) went 2-for-4 with a run scored on Friday for Triple-A Durham.

Advice: There’s some buzz that Lowe will be ready to return to Tampa Bay early next week, but he’s going to get in at least a couple additional rehab contests this weekend for Triple-A Durham. The 26-year-old fantasy stalwart has been out since late May recovering from a mild right oblique strain. Rotoworld Yesterday, 5:06 am

    • Jesús Sánchez homers, doubles twice for Marlins
Jesús Sánchez homered, doubled twice and walked Friday in leading the Marlins to an 8-2 defeat of the Rangers.

Advice: Finally. Sánchez increased his extra-base hit total by 50% tonight, going from six to nine. Statcast thinks he’s been one of the league’s unluckiest hitters and his hard-hit rate and strikeout rates are both better than his career norms, so odds are that his .657 OPS will continue to climb. Still, it’s going to be hard for him to be useful in mixed leagues while being platooned in a bad lineup. Rotoworld Friday, 7:02 pm

    • Brandon Marsh drives in run in victory on Friday
Brandon Marsh went 1-for-3 with a double, RBI and a run scored as the Phillies triumphed over the Cardinals on Friday night in Philadelphia.

Advice: Marsh opened the scoring in the second inning as he drove in Alec Bohm with a ground ball to first base. He then smacked a one-out double in the seventh inning and raced around to score on a two-out single by Johan Rojas. On the season, the 26-year-old outfielder is now slashing .261/.331/.427 to go with six homers, 25 RBI and eight swipes. Rotoworld Friday, 5:58 pm

    • Set for surgery Tuesday
Lee (shoulder) will undergo surgery Tuesday, Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.

Advice: The procedure will address the torn labrum in Lee's left shoulder, which he sustained May 12 against the Reds. Before the injury, Lee was slashing .262/.310/.331 with two home runs and eight RBI over 145 plate appearances. He should be ready to go for the start of the 2025 season. Rotowire.com Friday, 4:27 pm

    • Not in Friday's lineup
De La Cruz is absent from the lineup for Friday's game against the Rangers.

Advice: De La Cruz will receive a day off after going 0-for-12 with five strikeouts in the Marlins' last series in San Diego. Josh Bell will be the designated hitter in this one while Jake Burger plays first base. Rotowire.com Friday, 11:36 am

    • Matt Vierling will lead off for Tigers on Thursday
Matt Vierling is leading off and playing right field for the Tigers on Thursday.

Advice: Vierling continues to move around the field and hit in the top three spots in the lineup for the Tigers. The 27-year-old is hitting .312/.337/.610 in 22 games in May with five home runs and 21 RBI. He deserves to be picked up in most leagues while he’s hitting at the top of the lineup and swinging the bat this well. Rotoworld Thursday, 1:00 pm

    • Aiming to return Tuesday
Rays manager Kevin Cash said Thursday that Lowe (oblique) will begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A Durham this weekend and hopes to be activated from the 10-day injured list Tuesday versus the Marlins, Ryan Bass of Bally Sports Sun reports.

Advice: Last week, Lowe made his second trip to the IL this season with a right oblique strain. The strain was deemed mild, allowing him to resume baseball activities ahead of this weekend's rehab assignment. If Lowe does indeed return Tuesday, he will have missed just a little more than the minimum 10 days. Rotowire.com Thursday, 8:23 am

    • Josh Lowe could return to Rays lineup on Tuesday
Josh Lowe (oblique) will play for Triple-A Durham this weekend as he nears a return.

Advice: The plan is for Lowe to play all weekend with Durham and, if all feels good, he could return to the Tampa Bay lineup on Tuesday against the Marlins. Lowe has now had three setbacks this season with his oblique, but the last imaging he had showed no major issues and both he and the Rays have expressed optimism that he will return next week.
