    • Perfect for fourth save
Romano earned the save Sunday against the Dodgers, striking out two over a perfect ninth inning.

Advice: Romano converted on his fourth straight save attempt to start the campaign, pitching his second perfect inning in six appearances. After missing the first few weeks of the season with an elbow injury, Romano has shown no rust, owning a 3.18 ERA and a 0.88 WHIP through 5.2 frames. Rotowire.com Sunday, 7:57 pm

    • Dane Dunning strikes out 10 in 69-pitch victory
Dane Dunning yielded two runs — one earned — in 5 1/3 innings and struck out 10 against the Reds in a win Sunday.

Advice: Dunning threw just 69 pitches, which is the fourth-lowest total in a 10-strikeout game since pitch-count data became complete in 1988. The lowest total is 55 pitches in 3 2/3 innings of relief work by Tyler Alexander in 2020. Norm Charlton struck out 10 in a 67-pitch start in 1989, and Chris Sale fanned 12 on just 68 pitches for the Red Sox six years ago. Dunning moved to 3-2 with a 4.13 ERA. He’ll be a decent play versus the Royals next time out. Rotoworld Sunday, 3:42 pm

    • Punches out 10 in win
Dunning (3-2) earned the win after he pitched 5.1 innings, allowing two runs (one earned) on three hits while striking out 10 in Sunday's 4-3 win over the Reds.

Advice: Dunning was able to get back into the win column for the first time since April 12, recording a season-high 10 punchouts in the process. The right-hander tossed five scoreless frames before ultimately being tagged with a pair of runs, one of which was unearned, in the top of the sixth. Dunning also avoided giving up a home run in the outing, making it his first start in 2024 during which he was able to do so. The 29-year-old now owns a 4.13 ERA, and he's tentatively set to be back on the mound Saturday in Kansas City. Rotowire.com Sunday, 2:22 pm

    • Romano locks down 4th save of the season
Jordan Romano pitched a scoreless ninth to preserve a 3-1 win over the Dodgers on Sunday.

Advice: Romano didn’t allow a baserunner while striking out two on the day. He now has four saves despite not even being active for two weeks. He does have a 3.18 ERA, but has looked every bit like the pitcher we’ve counted on to be among the AL leaders in saves over the last few seasons. Rotoworld Sunday, 1:37 pm

    • Dominant again in seventh save
Miller earned the save in Friday's 3-2 win over the Orioles, striking out two in a perfect inning.

Advice: Miller delivered another lights-out performance Friday, stranding the free runner at second base in the 10th inning to seal a one-run Oakland victory. After allowing a pair of runs in his first appearance this year, Miller's held opponents scoreless in his subsequent 11.1 innings while giving up just one hit and one walk in his last seven appearances. The 25-year-old right-hander is up to seven saves on the year with a 1.46 ERA, 0.89 WHIP and an outstanding 18.24 K/9. Rotowire.com Friday, 8:39 pm

    • Mason Miller perfect in 10th for save
Mason Miller pitched a perfect 10th with a one-run lead for a save Friday against the Orioles.

Advice: The automatic runner should score most of the time in these situations, resulting in an undeserved blown save, but not when it’s Miller on the mound. He got two strikeouts and a weak groundout in racking up his seventh save tonight. Rotoworld Friday, 8:33 pm

    • Keeps rolling with another save
Miller notched a save against the Yankees on Thursday, pitching 1.1 scoreless innings during which he allowed one hit and struck out three batters.

Advice: Miller continues to flourish in the closer role -- he's a perfect six-for-six in save opportunities so far and hasn't given up a run since his first outing of the campaign. The right-hander's heater is also paying off with big strikeout numbers, as he's racked up an impressive 23 punchouts over 11.1 frames. Despite the fact that Miller plays for one of the league's worst teams, he's quickly evolving into one of fantasy's most desirable closers. Rotowire.com Thursday, 11:58 pm

    • Mason Miller records four-out save vs. Yankees
Mason Miller recorded a four-out save on Thursday against the Yankees.

Advice: Miller might be the most electrifying pitcher in baseball at the moment. Athletics manager Mark Kotsay handed him the ball for a four-out save opportunity at Yankee Stadium and he immediately responded by striking out Jose Trevino on a 101 mph fastball to end the eighth inning. He came back out to protect a two-run lead in the final frame and recorded two additional strikeouts to successfully work around a one-out infield single from Anthony Volpe. The hard-throwing 25-year-old former top pitching prospect has converted all six of his save opportunities this season to go along with a microscopic 1.59 ERA, 0.97 WHIP and 23/4 K/BB ratio across 11 1/3 innings (nine appearances). • Reynaldo López twirls seven-inning gem vs. Fish
Reynaldo López allowed one run over seven innings on Wednesday in a no-decision against the Marlins.

Advice: López authored yet another dominant performance, this time against a floundering Marlins lineup, piling up six strikeouts and only allowing five baserunners over seven frames. Yet, he was forced to settle for a no-decision after Atlanta’s bullpen coughed up a two-run lead in the ninth inning. The 30-year-old converted reliever has been a revelation this season, allowing one earned run or fewer and completing six frames in four consecutive starts to kick off his Braves debut. He’ll bring a microscopic 0.72 ERA, 0.88 WHIP and 24/8 K/BB ratio across 25 innings (four starts) into a road tilt on Tuesday against the Mariners in Seattle. Rotoworld Wednesday, 7:30 pm
