    • Plates run with sac fly
Grichuk went 1-for-3 with an RBI in Monday's 8-4 loss to the Dodgers.

Advice: Grichuk delivered the Diamondbacks' final run with a sacrifice fly as part of a three-run fifth inning. This was lefty-swinging Grichuk's first start in five games, as Arizona faced a string of right-handers. Rotowire.com Just now
    • Lasts just four innings in loss
Henry (1-2) took the loss against the Dodgers on Monday, allowing two runs on five hits and two walks without recording a strikeout over four innings.

Advice: Henry got another turn in the rotation with Merrill Kelly (shoulder) and Ryne Nelson (elbow) on the injured list, but he was mostly ineffective against a potent Dodgers offense. Though the extent of the damage on the scoreboard against the southpaw was a pair of second-inning runs, he didn't record a single strikeout, and only one of his 72 pitches was a swinging strike. Henry's overall body of work this season has been mediocre, as he's posted a 5.40 ERA, 1.62 WHIP and 24:11 K:BB over 28.1 frames. He may be pushed out of the rotation before his next turn comes up with Nelson nearing a return to action. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:41 pm

    • Joe Boyle holds Pirates to one hit in win
Joe Boyle allowed only one hit while pitching five innings of one-run ball Monday in Oakland’s 5-1 win over Pittsburgh.

Advice: Boyle walked four, but it didn’t matter much with what little hard contact the Pirates made turning into routine outs. The victory moved Boyle to 2-4 with a 6.08 ERA. He doesn’t seem like a very good bet going forward, but he’s not an awful choice with a home start versus the Marlins coming up next. Rotoworld Yesterday, 11:20 pm

    • Bailey Falter tagged for five runs in loss
Bailey Falter lost to the A’s after allowing five runs in five innings on Monday.

Advice: Falter was picked up in a bunch of leagues this week because he had the greatest two-start schedule ever dreamed up; he was facing the A’s on the road and the Rockies at home. Start No. 1 was a bust, but at least he did manage five strikeouts and a 1.2 WHIP. Start No. 2 will likely be better. Rotoworld Yesterday, 11:19 pm
    • Tyler Nevin goes 2-for-3, hits third home run
Tyler Nevin went 2-for-3 with a homer against the Pirates in Monday’s win.

Advice: It was his third homer. Nevin has a nice .301/.350/.452 line in 80 plate appearances for the A’s, but the exit velocity numbers aren’t really there to back it up and he might find himself out of favor once the A’s get healthier; it’s doubtful he would have been claimed in the first place if not for Miguel Andujar’s injury. • Pops homer in loss
Isbel went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and an RBI single in Monday's 6-5 loss to the Blue Jays.

Advice: Isbel's bat has started to come around -- he's gone 7-for-21 (.333) with four extra-base hits over his last seven games. The outfielder has held onto a strong-side platoon role in center field this season. He's slashing .225/.262/.388 with three homers, three stolen bases, eight RBI, 10 runs scored, two doubles and a triple over 85 plate appearances. Isbel still most frequently bats at the bottom of the Royals' lineup when he's playing. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:14 pm
    • Takes loss Monday
Waldron (1-3) was tagged with the loss against Cincinnati on Monday, allowing four runs on six hits and no walks while striking out four batters over six innings.

Advice: Waldron fell behind early on an Elly De La Cruz first-inning solo homer, and he gave up four runs across his first three frames. To his credit, the knuckleballer yielded just one hit and zero runs over his final three innings, but San Diego's offense was mostly held in check. Waldron has completed six frames in each of his past two appearances, and he's given up one run in half of his six starts on the season. However, his record sits at 1-3, and he's pitched to a mediocre 4.35 ERA, 1.35 WHIP and 27:10 K:BB over 31 frames overall. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:09 pm
    • Matt Waldron gives up four runs to Reds
Matt Waldron lost to the Reds after allowing four runs in six innings Monday.

Advice: Waldron has all of the tricks up his sleeve, but they’d work a whole lot better if he could throw 95 mph. He topped out at 92.1 mph tonight and averaged 90.2 mph with his four-seamers and sinkers. He’ll hold his own against subpar offenses, but top lineups are going to remain a big issue. • Wins game with walk-off homer
Garver went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run and a walk Monday in a 2-1 win over Atlanta.

Advice: It's been a rough season for Garver, as he's slashing just .150/.266/.313 through 94 plate appearances. However, Seattle has stuck with him as the team's primary DH, and that decision paid off Monday when he launched a two-run, ninth-inning shot to give the Mariners a come-from-behind win. Garver could be building a bit of momentum, as he's gone deep in two of his past four games. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:57 pm
