    • Annihilates Houston, nabs save
Miller notched his 10th save of the season Saturday, striking out the side in a 4-1 win over the Astros.

Advice: Miller was coming off his worst appearance of the season his last time out against the Rockies, but he had no such trouble in this one. The flamethrower needed 15 pitches to dispose of the Astros in order, topping out at 102.2 mph with his fastball. Miller has struck out multiple batters in 14 of 18 outings this season. • Lasts just 4.2 innings
Lopez (2-2) took the loss Saturday in Pittsburgh, allowing three runs (two earned) on five hits and one walk over just 4.2 innings. He struck out three.

Advice: Saturday marked the right-hander's shortest outing of the season and also his fewest number of pitches thrown (70) in a start this year. Lopez labored a bit in the third and fourth frames, and Atlanta manager Brian Snitker elected to pull his starter after he yielded a two-out single in the fifth. The righty hasn't won a game since April 16 even as he still holds a 2.43 ERA since that date. Rotowire.com May 25, 5:57 pm

    • Reynaldo López gives up three over 4 2/3 vs. Pirates
Reynaldo López went 4 2/3 innings and gave up three runs — two earned — in a start Saturday against the Pirates.

Advice: Lopez gave up five hits with one walk while striking out three. The right-hander allowed an RBI single in the third, and two more runs scored on a Nick Gonzales double. Even with a shaky outing, the 30-year-old still has a sensational 1.75 ERA on the season. He’s scheduled to fact the Nationals at home Thursday. Rotoworld May 25, 4:42 pm

    • Mason Miller strikes out side in save vs. Astros
Mason Miller struck out the side to pick up the save and help the Athletics to a 3-1 win over the Astros on Saturday.

Advice: How can you not be impressed with what Miller has done? The right-hander threw 15 pitches while fanning the side, and it’s nice to see after he blew the save Thursday against the Rockies while allowing five runs — three of those earned. Miller will have some limitations based on Oakland not being very good and Oakland being very careful with the right-hander, but simply put, he has as good of stuff as any reliever in baseball. • Battling knee cramps
Lorenzen left his start Saturday versus the Twins due to cramping in his knee, Shawn McFarland of The Dallas Morning News reports.

Advice: Manager Bruce Bochy said Lorenzen attempted to pitch through his cramping, but the skipper didn't want to risk another injury to an already-depleted Rangers rotation. Lorenzen finished with one earned run allowed on three hits and three walks while striking out four batters over six innings of work. Given his willingness to play through his injury, there's a good chance he will make his next start -- tentatively scheduled for next Saturday against the Marlins -- though the Rangers will keep an eye on his knee. • Exits with apparent injury
Lorenzen was removed from Saturday's game against the Twins due to an apparent injury, Kennedi Landry of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Lorenzen took the mound in preparation to begin the seventh inning, but he was visited by a trainer before exiting the game. He did a good amount of walking around the mound, suggesting that he may have tweaked something in one of his legs, though the Rangers should provide an official update on his injury status in the near future. • Michael Lorenzen exits start with trainer
Michael Lorenzen left Saturday’s start against the Twins with a trainer.

Advice: Lorenzen appeared to be in some discomfort following his warm-up tosses at the outset of the seventh inning, which prompted a visit from the Rangers training staff and his immediate removal from the contest. The 32-year-old righty was charged with one run on three hits with four strikeouts and only one walk. There should be an update on his status shortly. Rotoworld May 25, 12:59 pm
