      Nick Lodolo limited the Padres to one run and one hit while striking out 11 in seven innings Monday in the Reds’ 5-2 victory.

      Advice: That Lodolo has looked this good this soon after his season-opening IL stint has been a very nice surprise.       Lodolo (3-0) earned the win over San Diego on Monday, allowing one run on one hit and two walks while striking out 11 batters over seven innings.

      Advice: Lodolo's outing got off to an inauspicious start when he gave up a home run to the first batter he faced (Jurickson Profar), but that would end up being the only hit given up by the 26-year-old hurler over seven frames. The southpaw finished with an impressive 22 whiffs and a season-high 11 punchouts, marking his second double-digit strikeout effort through four starts.       Carlos Estévez got a save despite allowing a run in the ninth Monday against the Phillies.

      Advice: Estévez gave up a single, a double and a sac fly before finishing off the Phillies tonight. His stuff is worse than it was last year, and we wouldn’t expect much help in ERA and WHIP here.       Estevez allowed a run on two hits in one inning Monday. He struck out one batter and earned a save over the Phillies.

      Advice: Estevez entered a 6-4 game and found himself in a jam with two on and one out. He gave up one run but still preserved the 6-5 victory. Estevez has converted five of his six save chances this season but has coughed up three runs in his last three appearances.       Advice: Gelof was placed on the 10-day injured list Thursday with a strained left oblique, but he appears to be on track to miss more than the minimum amount of days.
