    • Jake Fraley goes hitless in sixth straight game
Jake Fraley went 0-for-4 with two strikeouts Monday, leaving him hitless in a sixth straight game.

Advice: Fraley was off to a terrific start and had a case to take over as the Reds’ leadoff man, but he went hitless in three games before missing time with an illness and has remained hitless in three games since returning. He’s struck out in five of his eight at-bats the last two days, and his OPS has dropped from 1.065 two weeks ago to .773 now. Rotoworld Yesterday, 11:05 pm

    • First hiccup of 2024
Diaz (0-1) took the loss Monday against the Cubs, allowing two runs on two hits with three strikeouts across one inning.

Advice: Diaz spoiled Luis Severino's eight-inning gem, allowing a double to Mike Tauchman and a two-run home run to Christopher Morel in the final frame to put the Cubs ahead 3-1, where the score would remain. The loss was Diaz's first true blemish of the campaign, being a perfect 4-for-4 in save chances with no prior losses. His ERA jumped from 0.93 to 2.53 following Monday's contest and his WHIP sits at 0.94 through 10.2 innings. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:27 pm

    • Stuck with tough loss Monday
Schmidt (2-1) took the loss Monday as the Yankees were downed 2-0 by the Orioles, allowing one run on three hits and three walks over 5.2 innings. He struck out five.

Advice: A solo shot by Gunnar Henderson in the first inning accounted for all the damage off the right-hander, but his teammates couldn't solve Grayson Rodriguez and the Baltimore bullpen. Schmidt exited after 92 pitches (56 strikes) and just missed recording his first quality start of the season. He'll take a 3.19 ERA, 1.39 WHIP and 34:13 K:BB through 31 innings into his next outing, which lines up to come at home this weekend against the Tigers. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:03 pm
    • Clarke Schmidt strikes out five in loss versus O’s
Clarke Schmidt allowed three hits and one earned run while striking out five batters in 5 2/3 innings on Monday against the Orioles.

Advice: Besides a leadoff home run to Gunnar Henderson, Schmidt pitched well against a potent Baltimore offense. After the first inning when he allowed that home run and a single to Ryan O’Hearn, the 28-year-old hurler allowed just one hit in his final four innings. He now holds a solid 3.19 ERA, 1.39 WHIP with a 34/13 K/BB ratio in his six starts this season. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:07 pm
    • Will continue rehab stint
Davis (thigh) will remain on a rehab assignment at Triple-A Las Vegas at least until Thursday, Martin Gallegos of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Davis got through Sunday's rehab appearance at Triple-A Las Vegas without issue, but the club evidently wants to see him get a few more chances in the minors before activating him from the 10-day IL. He served as the DH on Sunday, so he'll likely see some opportunities in the field later in the week to ensure he's back to full strength. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 4:42 pm

    • J.D. Davis (groin) remaining with AAA through Thursday
J.D. Davis (groin) will remain on his rehab assignment with Triple-A Las Vegas through at least Thursday.

Advice: If Davis checks out well over the next few days, the 31-year-old could be back in action over the weekend for the Athletics. The right-handed hitter has been out of action with a groin strain since April 16. Rotoworld Yesterday, 4:37 pm

    • Expected back Tuesday
Mets manager Carlos Mendoza said Monday that he expects Marte (personal) to be activated from the bereavement list Tuesday, Tim Healey of Newsday reports.

Advice: Marte missed the final two games of the Mets' weekend series against the Cardinals and remains unavailable Monday versus the Cubs, but his return to the team looks to be imminent. Tyrone Taylor will draw a third straight start in the outfield Monday but will move back to a bench role once Marte is activated. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 1:26 pm

    • Julien out of lineup as Twins bench all lefties
The Twins are opting to bench all their left-handed hitters against Garrett Crochet, which means Edouard Julien, Alex Kirilloff, Trevor Larnach, and Max Kepler are all on the bench on Monday.

Advice: We had been waiting to see who would get the short end of the stick with Carlos Correa returning from the IL, but it’s impossible to tell that from this lineup. The Twins continue to be the most platoon-heavy lineup in baseball, which is incredibly frustrating for fantasy purposes. Kyle Farmer will get the start at 2B with Manuel Margot in RF, and Willi Castro in LF. Rotoworld Yesterday, 12:27 pm

    • Out again versus lefty
Julien is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the White Sox.

Advice: The Twins are facing a lefty for the fourth time in the last six games and Julien has been out of the lineup on all four occasions. Kyle Farmer will handle second base in Julien's place. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 12:26 pm
