    • Promotion could be coming
Vespi will travel with the Orioles to Toronto for their upcoming series against the Blue Jays, Matt Weyrich of The Baltimore Sun reports.

Advice: Vespi hasn't officially been promoted yet, but it seems the move is imminent. The left-handed reliever has made one appearance with the Orioles this season, tossing a scoreless frame last month. Rotowire.com 35 minutes ago

    • Takes first loss Sunday
Adams (0-1) took the loss against Atlanta on Sunday, allowing an earned run on two hits and two walks over one inning. He struck out two.

Advice: Adams' eventful inning saw him sandwich swinging strikeouts of Ozzie Albies and Orlando Arcia around a walk and a pair of doubles, including Sean Murphy's go-ahead RBI two-bagger. The right-hander saw his streak of seven consecutive scoreless appearances snapped with that hit, but he retains an impressive 2.70 ERA alongside 14 holds over 28 appearances. • Keaton Winn may not need rehab start
Giants’ manager Bob Melvin told reporters on Sunday that Keaton Winn (forearm) may not require a minor league rehab start before rejoining the team’s rotation.

Advice: With Blake Snell (groin) heading back to the injured list, the Giants have a gaping hole to fill in their rotation and Winn could be ready to fill the void. The 26-year-old right-hander has been shelved since May 15 due to a mild right forearm strain. He was supposed to make at least one rehab start at Triple-A Sacramento, but it sounds like the Giants may need to utilize him at the big league level instead. Either way, expect his pitch count to be limited in his first couple of starts back. Rotoworld 56 minutes ago

    • Works in relief Saturday
Garabito struck out one and allowed two hits and one walk over a scoreless inning out of the bullpen in Saturday's 7-0 win over the Marlins.

Advice: After giving up one run in a 3.2-inning start in his MLB debut May 26 versus the Twins, Garabito went nearly a week without any usage before he finished off Saturday's blowout win. Despite making his most recent appearance in relief, Garabito could be an option to make another start either Tuesday or Wednesday versus the Tigers, with Dane Dunning presumably taking the hill for one of those games. Texas could get Jon Gray (groin) back from the injured list as soon as this weekend, so Garabito likely won't be in line for any additional starts in the near future if he does in fact re-enter the rotation against Detroit. • Could skip rehab start
Winn (forearm) could skip a rehab start in the wake of the Blake Snell (groin) injury, Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.

Advice: Winn remains tentatively scheduled for a rehab start with Triple-A Sacramento on Tuesday, but the Giants might need him more in the majors now with Snell expected to land on the injured list. Snell's next turn comes up Saturday, although it's possible Winn is brought back to start earlier than that and the rest of the rotation is pushed back. Because Winn isn't fully stretched out yet, fantasy managers would be best off keeping him benched this week, either way. Rotowire.com Today, 6:11 am

    • Secures save Sunday
Diaz walked one batter and struck out another in a scoreless inning Sunday. He earned a save over the Cubs.

Advice: Diaz worked around a leadoff walk to finish off the 5-2 victory. He's struggled at times throughout the year but he appears to be turning a corner; Diaz has allowed one run over his last 5.2 innings while converting five straight save opportunities. The 27-year-old righty has 12 saves with a 23:16 K:BB and 5.64 ERA through 22.1 innings this season. Rotowire.com Today, 6:08 am
    • Wins with quality start
Lodolo (5-2) allowed two runs on seven hits and a walk over six innings Sunday, striking out three and earning a win over the Cubs.

Advice: Lodolo kept the Cubs off the board through four innings before they tallied a run in the fifth and sixth innings. He's allowed three runs over 11.1 innings while winning his last two starts since returning from the injured list. However, he's totaled just six punchouts during that span. On the year, Lodolo owns a 3.11 ERA with a 49:10 K:BB through 46.1 frames. His next start is projected to be a rematch with the Cubs at home. Rotowire.com Today, 6:02 am
    • Slated to face live hitters
Mahle (elbow) is expected to face live hitters Monday, Kennedi Landry of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Mahle has been throwing bullpen sessions over the past few weeks, and facing live hitters appears to be just another step in the recovery process. It's been a little more than a year since the right-hander underwent Tommy John surgery, and Mahle isn't expected to be ready for game action until some point after the All-Star break. • Jon Gray (groin) to face live hitters on Monday
Jon Gray (groin) is scheduled to face live hitters on Monday.

Advice: The Rangers remain hopeful that Gray will only need a minimum stint on the injured list, so there’s a lot riding on Monday’s session. If all goes well there, he could be cleared to return to the rotation later in the week without needing a minor league rehab assignment. The 32-year-old hurler has been sidelined since May 22 due to a right groin strain. Rotoworld Today, 5:47 am
