    • Homers, drives in five
Harper went 3-for-5 with two doubles and a home run in Monday's win against Detroit, finishing with five RBI and three runs scored.

Advice: Harper opened the scoring in the first inning with a two-run double before icing the game with a three-run shot in the sixth. Harper stayed hot at the plate, extending his hitting streak to nine games. During the hitting streak, the 31-year-old is batting a scorching .462 (18-for-39) with four home runs, 10 RBI, 12 runs scored and one stolen base. Rotowire.com Monday, 6:50 pm

    • Starling Marte to go on IL with knee inflammation
Starling Marte has been told to rest for 15 days because of bone inflammation in his right knee.

Advice: Marte will surely go on the injured list Tuesday. That could lead to Brett Baty’s recall, but if the Mets would prefer to have both he and Mark Vientos keep playing every day, they do have an open spot on the 40-man to add an outfielder, probably Ben Gamel or Trayce Thompson. Tyrone Taylor and DJ Stewart will split time in right while Marte is out. Rotoworld Monday, 6:17 pm

    • Likely headed to IL
Marte was advised Monday to rest for the next 15 days after being diagnosed with bone inflammation in his right knee, Mike Puma of the New York Post reports.

Advice: Marte was sent for an MRI on Monday after experiencing soreness in his right knee, and while the team has yet to confirm that he'll be placed on the injured list, that transaction will likely be made Tuesday. Marte will likely be re-evaluated following the 15-day shutdown period to determine the next steps in his recovery. Rotowire.com Monday, 5:05 pm

    • Yu Darvish has sore elbow, won’t return Tuesday
Yu Darvish is dealing with elbow inflammation will not return to the Padres rotation on Tuesday.

Advice: This is a new problem for Darvish, who has been out since June 1 with a strained groin, but the Padres are hopeful it’ll be only a minor setback. Adam Mazur will take his place Tuesday against the Nationals. Rotoworld Monday, 3:58 pm

    • Dealing with elbow inflammation
Padres manager Mike Shildt said Monday that Darvish (groin) won't be activated from the 15-day injured list to start Tuesday versus the Nationals due to "a little" right elbow inflammation, Dennis Lin of The Athletic reports.

Advice: Darvish had been slated to return from close to a month-long absence with a groin injury, but it's an elbow issue that will delay his activation even further. Shildt's wording would seem to suggest that Darvish is dealing with a minor setback, but a return to the rotation next week isn't guaranteed, especially after Darvish missed the final month of last season with a bone spur in the elbow. Adam Mazur was recalled from Triple-A El Paso and will start Tuesday. Rotowire.com Monday, 3:55 pm

    • Taking batting practice
Cardinals manager Oliver Marmol said Nootbaar (oblique) took batting practice Monday and will do so again Tuesday, Katie Woo of The Athletic reports.

Advice: If Nootbaar responds well to the consecutive days of BP, the Cardinals could clear the outfielder to head out on a minor-league rehab assignment later in the week. Though Nootbaar wouldn't seem to be a likely candidate to return from the 10-day injured list for any of the Cardinals' seven games this week, he shouldn't require a lengthy rehab assignment. Alec Burleson has been serving as the Cardinals' primary right fielder in Nootbaar's stead, but Burleson will likely settle back in at designated hitter once Nootbaar is activated. • Held out again Monday
Lowe (toe) remains out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Mariners.

Advice: Lowe suffered a fractured right pinky toe when he was hit by a pitch in Saturday's 4-3 loss to the Pirates. While the plan is for him to attempt to play through the injury, Lowe has now missed two straight starts. Richie Palacios will again handle second base while Lowe stays off his feet. • Yu Darvish may not return this week
According to Kevin Acee of the San Diego Tribune, Yu Darvish (groin) did not throw his scheduled pre-start bullpen session, “and his status is up in the air.”

Advice: Padres manager Mike Shildt said, “We’re going to see what it looks like and have something for you [Monday].” The issue is apparently not related to the groin issue that has kept Darvish out since May 29th but without any information on what actually did keep Darvish from throwing, it’s impossible to say if it’s good news or bad news that it’s not related to his groin. We’ll keep locked to the news coming out of San Diego, but fantasy managers in weekly lineup lock leagues may want to err on the side of caution and keep Darvish out of starting lineups this week. • Rehab assignment getting closer
Nootbaar (oblique) is tracking toward beginning a rehab assignment soon, Katie Woo of The Athletic reports.

Advice: Nootbaar has been shelved since late May with a left oblique strain but appears close to being ready to play in games. The outfielder shouldn't need too many rehab games in the minors since he's been on the injured list for just over three weeks. A return before the All-Star break is likely.
