    • Perez has two-hit night in win over Tigers
Salvador Perez went 2-for-5 with one RBI in Tuesday’s win over the Tigers.

Advice: The real story of the night was Bobby Witt Jr.'s two-homer, six RBI performance, but Perez also managed two hits, with his first coming on a single that scored Witt Jr. Perez now has 39 RBI on the season and has hit safely in seven straight games. He’s slashing .324/.387/.500 in May and has eight extra-base hits on the month. Rotoworld Today, 7:26 pm

    • Sparks rally Monday
Perez went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Monday's 8-3 win over the Tigers.

Advice: It was a close game until the sixth inning, when Perez ignited a six-run rally for the Royals with his solo shot. The catcher has hit safely in six straight games, going 10-for-21 (.476) in that span. the homer was his first since May 3. Perez remains one of the top hitters in baseball this season with a .341/.404/.565 slash line, nine long balls, 38 RBI, 19 runs scored and 11 doubles over 47 contests. • Bo Naylor out of lineup Sunday against Twins
Bo Naylor is not in the starting lineup for Sunday’s game against the Twins.

Advice: Naylor went 1-fot-6 over the first two games of the series, and he’s hitting just .175 with a .532 OPS thus far in 2024. Austin Hedges will get the start behind the plate and hit eighth in Naylor’s absence. Rotoworld Sunday, 8:02 am

    • Perez drives in two on Saturday
Salvador Perez went 1-for-4 with two RBI against the Athletics on Saturday.

Advice: Perez had a two-run single in the first inning that opened the scoring. The 34-year-old backstop has been great this year as he’s hitting .333 with a .949 OPS. His walk percentage is nearly double what it usually is at 7.8 percent and his strikeout percentage of 15 percent would be his lowest since 2015. Still, we can’t expect Perez to keep up this average as his .368 BABIP is 77 points higher than his career .291 BABIP.

    • Three hits in win
Perez went 3-for-3 with a double, a walk, an RBI and a run scored in Friday's 6-2 win over the Athletics.

Advice: Perez opened the scoring with an RBI single in the first inning and got on base three more times in Friday's victory. The veteran catcher is batting .294 (15-for-51) with seven extra-base hits and eight RBI in May. That's actually down from his overall numbers -- Perez is slashing a stellar .335/.403/.557 with eight home runs, 34 RBI, 18 runs scored and 11 doubles over 176 plate appearances. He last hit above .300 for a full season in the abbreviated 2020 campaign, so there is a high risk that he cools off eventually in 2024, but he's been excellent over the first quarter of the season. • Moving to bench Wednesday
Naylor is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Rangers.

Advice: Naylor will rest Wednesday after he was behind the plate for the first two games of the series, going 1-for-8 with a double, two RBI and a run scored between those contests. He'll cede catching duties to Austin Hedges in the series finale. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 1:57 pm

    • Bo Naylor drives in two in win over Rangers
Bo Naylor went 1-for-4 with a double and two RBI in Tuesday’s win over the Rangers.

Advice: Naylor doubled in the second inning to score Estevan Florial and Kyle Manzardo, giving the Guardians their first runs of the day and an early 2-0 lead. He would later score on a single by Andrés Giménez to push the lead to 3-0. Naylor’s hit ended a three-game hitless streak as the catcher has struggled out of the gate to start the year. Naylor entered the day batting .175 with three homers and nine RBI over 33 games. He remains well off the fantasy radar at this time. Rotoworld Tuesday, 8:13 pm
