      Advice: Kelenic knocked in half of Atlanta's runs in the matinee games, and he added an RBI single for their lone run in the nightcap. The outfielder has enjoyed a strong June, going 25-for-78 (.321) with five homers, 13 RBI and three steals over 21 contests this month.       Jarred Kelenic went 3-for-4 with a run scored against the Cardinals on Wednesday.

      Advice: After slugging a homer in the first game of Wednesday’s doubleheader against the Cardinals, Kelenic collected three more hits in the second game. His base hit in the eighth inning drove in the only run of the game for Atlanta. The 24-year-old outfielder has performed well since taking over the leadoff spot.       Jarred Kelenic went 3-for-5 with a homer, three RBI and a steal in the Braves’ 6-2 victory over the Cardinals in the first game of Wednesday’s doubleheader.

      Casas (ribs) took approximately 20 swings in the batting cage Wednesday at about 75-percent effort, Molly Burkhardt of MLB.com reports.

      Advice: Casas resumed hitting for the first time since he was diagnosed with a cartilage tear in his left ribcage in late April. He said he felt great during the workout, but he noted that the real test will be to see how sore he is Thursday. If Casas isn't experiencing too much discomfort Thursday, he could be cleared to start hitting off a tee.       Triston Casas, coming back from torn rib cartilage, swung in a cage without incident Wednesday.

      Advice: Gonzales was in a cold spell entering Tuesday's contest, as he had gone just 1-for-23 with eight strikeouts across his past seven games. He snapped out of that slump with his second three-hit performance of the season.       Red Sox manager Alex Cora said Tuesday that Casas (ribs) will begin swinging a bat this week, Julian McWilliams of The Boston Globe reports.

      Advice: Casas underwent an MRI on Tuesday and is apparently ready to take the next step. He had been lightly swinging a bat but never graduated to swinging with full force.       Smith started at third base and went 1-for-3 with an RBI in Tuesday's 3-1 loss to the Brewers. He was also hit by a pitch.

      Advice: Smith gave the Rangers an early lead in the top of the first inning, but the offense was silenced for the last eight frames. The HBP was his second in as many games and third over the last five; he leads MLB in that category with 12. It was thought Smith's run at third base might come to end this week, but Josh Jung (wrist) experienced a setback and is not expected to return during the Rangers' road trip that ends Sunday in Baltimore.       Advice: Brown landed his fourth consecutive win Tuesday and generated his seventh straight quality start. He largely stayed out of trouble, with just two runners reaching scoring position and nobody surpassing first base until the fourth inning. After stumbling early in the season, Brown has been utterly dominant in June, owning a 1.16 ERA with a 36:8 K:BB across 31.0 innings.
