    • Edmundo Sosa out Sunday with left elbow contusion
Edmundo Sosa (elbow) is not in the lineup for Sunday’s showdown against the Diamondbacks.

Advice: It doesn’t come as much of a surprise to see Sosa on the bench following his early exit from Saturday’s game against the Diamondbacks being hit by a pitch on the left elbow. The versatile 28-year-old is day-to-day for now and will probably be ready to return in a couple days, if not sooner. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:56 am

    • Back at third base for now
Smith started at third base and went 2-for-3 with a solo home run in Saturday's 6-0 win over Kansas City.

Advice: Smith made a second consecutive start in the field after serving as a designated hitter for a pair of games. He had been dealing with a hamstring injury that forced him to miss four games before returning as the DH. Now that he's back in the field, the question becomes how long he will be there. Third baseman Josh Jung (wrist) rejoined the team Friday and will take live batting practice Tuesday. If all goes well, Jung could be activated off the 60-day injured list afterward. The Rangers would like to keep Smith's bat in the lineup; he's batting .304/.393/.469 over a career-high 259 plate appearances. The lefty hitter could serve as the primary DH; he owns an .857 OPS against lefties and an .863 OPS against righties this season. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 4:36 am

    • Tallies three hits again Saturday
Bliss went 3-for-4 with two doubles, a run and two RBI in a 9-0 victory versus Miami on Saturday.

Advice: Bliss plated a run with a fourth-inning single and wrapped up the scoring in the contest with an RBI double in the eighth. It was the second consecutive three-hit game for the infielder after he went 3-for-3 with an RBI on Friday. Prior to the pair of three-hit contests, Bliss had needed 19 at-bats over nine games to collect his previous three base knocks. While he offers some intriguing upside on the basepaths -- Bliss swiped 28 bags in 50 games at Triple-A prior to his late-May call-up and has four thefts in five attempts over 20 contests in the majors -- it's not clear what role he might have with the Mariners when Jorge Polanco (hamstring) returns from the IL. • Injury appears minor
Neto (calf) is expected to play Monday against the Athletics, Sam Blum of The Athletic reports.

Advice: Neto exited Saturday's game with left calf tightness, but it seems as though he's avoided significant injury. Manager Ron Washington said postgame that Neto should play in Monday's series opener, the Angels' next game after their team off day Sunday. Rotowire.com Saturday, 9:33 pm

    • Racks up three hits
Winn went 3-for-5 with a double, one RBI and two runs scored in Saturday's 9-4 win over the Giants.

Advice: Winn is batting .286 (22-for-77) over 19 contests in June, and he's notched four extra-base hits over his last nine games. The shortstop has taken over the leadoff spot on a nearly full-time basis, and it's because he's been one of the Cardinals' most consistent hitters this season. The 22-year-old is slashing .300/.344/.435 with four home runs, 27 RBI, 30 runs scored, eight stolen bases, 14 doubles and three triples over 68 games. Rotowire.com Saturday, 9:20 pm

    • Set to join Yankees
The Yankees are expected to recall Peraza from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Sunday, Daniel Alvarez-Montes of ElExtraBase.com reports.

Advice: Peraza is expected to join the Yankees' roster for the first time this season after suffering an injury during spring training and sticking at Triple-A after reinstatement from the injured list. While a corresponding move has yet to be announced, Peraza's call-up could indicate Giancarlo Stanton (hamstring) needs an IL stint after exiting Saturday's game. Regardless, Peraza should provide additional infield depth for the Yankees. Rotowire.com Saturday, 8:57 pm

    • Exits with calf injury
Neto was removed from Saturday's game against the Dodgers with left calf tightness.

Advice: Neto slid to field a ball at shortstop and fell back to the ground in pain after attempting to get up and throw the ball. Encouragingly, Neto was able to walk off the field unassisted and it's expected he'll be evaluated during Sunday's team day off. Luis Guillorme will slide to shortstop while Michael Stefanic enters at second base. Rotowire.com Saturday, 8:25 pm

    • Zach Neto diagnosed with left calf tightness
The Angels announced that Zach Neto was removed from Saturday’s contest due to tightness in his left calf.

Advice: The 23-year-old shortstop suffered the injury while making a sliding stop on a ground ball in the fourth inning on Saturday night. The severity of the injury — as well as how much time (if any) Neto may miss — remains unclear. Fantasy mangers who are counting on Neto for next week should be sure to have an alternative option at the ready in case Neto lands on the injured list. Rotoworld Saturday, 8:21 pm

    • Zach Neto leaves game with apparent leg injury
Zach Neto was pulled from Saturday night’s ballgame against the Dodgers due to an apparent leg injury.

Advice: Neto made a sliding stop deep in the hole in the fourth inning, but when he got up to throw it looked as though his leg gave out on him. The 23-year-old shortstop also fouled a ball off of his leg earlier in the contest. He’ll head for further evaluation to see exactly what’s going on there. Stay tuned as the Angels should have an update on his status shortly. Rotoworld Saturday, 8:16 pm
