    • Getting day off Tuesday
Miranda is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Diamondbacks.

Advice: After making four consecutive starts, Miranda will get a breather for Tuesday's series opener in Arizona. Royce Lewis will handle third base duties while Trevor Larnach starts at DH. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 2:03 pm

    • Taking seat Tuesday
Urias is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Guardians, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.

Advice: Urias had drawn three consecutive starts at third base, but he'll give way to Jordan Westburg on Tuesday. During those three starts, Urias went 0-for-10 and snapped a seven-game hit streak. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 11:35 am

    • Taking seat against lefty
Lopez is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Dodgers.

Advice: Lopez and fellow left-handed hitters Gavin Sheets and Andrew Benintendi will hit the bench as the White Sox go with an all-right-handed-hitting lineup versus Dodgers southpaw James Paxton. Danny Mendick will replace Lopez at second base and bat ninth. Rotowire.com Monday, 3:29 pm

    • Gets call to big leagues
The Royals selected Alexander's contract from Triple-A Omaha on Monday. He'll start at third base and bat eighth in Monday's game against the Marlins.

Advice: Alexander, 27, has hit .323/.369/.555 with nine home runs this season at Omaha. Though he'll enter the lineup Monday for his MLB debut, Alexander will likely serve as a utility player during his first stint in the big leagues. Rotowire.com Monday, 1:42 pm

    • Looking for offense, Royals call up CJ Alexander
Royals selected the contract of CJ Alexander from Triple-A Omaha.

Advice: The 27-year-old Alexander, along with Drew Waters and Andrew Hoffman, was one of three players the Royals got from the Braves for the 35th overall pick in the 2022 draft. He’s typically struggled to hit for average in the minors, but he’s broken through there this year, batting .323/.369/.555 in 56 games. We’re skeptical that it’s going to translate to the majors, but the Royals are getting increasingly desperate for offense at this point. Alexander will probably see time as a DH against righties, and he could give Maikel Garcia the occasional day off at third. Rotoworld Monday, 1:31 pm

    • Draws third straight start
Urias will start at third base and bat eighth in Monday's game against the Guardians.

Advice: Urias looks to be gaining traction in Baltimore's everyday lineup, as he'll pick up his third straight start Monday and fifth start in six games. The uptick in playing time has corresponded with Urias' surge at the plate; dating back to May 27, he's slashing .293/.349/.517 over a stretch of 19 games. Jorge Mateo looks to be the primary loser from a playing-time perspective from Urias' uptick in starts, as he'll hit the bench Monday for the third time in five games. Rotowire.com Monday, 11:50 am

    • Orioles designate Nick Maton for assignment
Orioles designated INF Nick Maton for assignment.

Advice: The move clears a spot on the active roster for Heston Kjerstad but also opens up a spot on the 40-man roster as well. With the Orioles’ starting pitching struggling due to injuries, it’s possible the team could be looking to add another pitcher to the 40-man roster. It should be noted that the team’s 17th-ranked prospect is RHP Chayce McDermott and he is not on the 40-man roster. This move could open up a spot for the Orioles to promote him, should they choose to. Rotoworld Monday, 9:38 am

    • Dropped from 40-man roster
The Orioles designated Maton for assignment Monday.

Advice: Maton will be pushed off roster as the Orioles make room for outfielder/first baseman Heston Kjerstad, who was recalled from Triple-A Norfolk in a corresponding move. During his five-day stay with the Orioles, Maton saw action in just one game and didn't receive any plate appearances. Rotowire.com Monday, 9:12 am

    • Eugenio Suárez goes hitless in fifth straight game
Eugenio Suárez went 0-for-3 with two strikeouts in the loss to the Phillies on Sunday.

Advice: There was talk of Suárez playing less after Geraldo Perdomo came off the IL earlier this month, but it’s barely materialized; he sat out two of Arizona’s first five games with Perdomo back, but he’s now started six in a row, even though his results have remained awful. This is his fifth straight hitless game, and his average is down to .192. His last multi-RBI game came on Apr. 22. Rotoworld Sunday, 11:33 am
