    • Hopeful that injury is minor
Riley (side) isn't overly concerned with his long-term availability and considers himself day-to-day, Justin Toscano of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.

Advice: Riley experienced left side tightness in batting practice Sunday and was ultimately removed from Atlanta's contest against the Mets in the fourth inning after going 1-for-2 at the plate. The third baseman doesn't know if he'll need an MRI, which is something he'll make a decision on Monday. With the team launching a three-game home series with the Cubs on Monday, there's a chance that Riley misses some, if not all, of the series as Atlanta will likely be cautious with the talented 26-year-old. • Austin Riley (side) hopeful to return this week
Austin Riley (side) told reporters on Sunday night that he’s hopeful to return to the Braves’ starting lineup at some point during the upcoming week.

Advice: Riley initially felt something in his side during batting practice but didn’t say anything. He then felt the discomfort again in the third inning on Sunday night and continued to play through it. Finally in the fifth inning, it was enough of a concern to mention something, which prompted his exit from the ballgame. He’ll probably miss a couple of games as a precautionary measure, but it doesn’t sound like Riley should require a trip to the injured list. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:29 pm

    • Austin Riley leaves game with left side tightness
Austin Riley was removed from Sunday night’s battle against the Mets in the fifth inning due to tightness in his left side.

Advice: The Braves are calling his exit precautionary, but there’s still cause for concern. It’s unlikely that the club will have any additional updates until Monday. Fantasy managers should be sure to have a contingency plan in place for next week in the event that Riley is forced to miss a couple of games. Zack Short replaced him at third base on Sunday and could be in line for increased action if Riley does miss any time. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:26 pm

    • Exits early versus Mets
Riley was removed from Sunday's contest against the Mets in bottom of the fourth inning with left side tightness, Justin Toscano of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.

Advice: Riley's removal from the contest has been described as precautionary according to Atlanta. The third baseman finished his night going 1-for-2 with a single and a strikeout. Riley's status will likely be updated following the conclusion of the team's series finale with New York. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 5:22 pm

    • Austin Riley swats solo homer in extra-inning loss
Austin Riley went went 2-for-5 with a solo homer in a loss to the Dodgers on Friday.

Advice: Riley got Atlanta on the board with a solo homer in the first off Gavin Stone, and that’d be the last run they’d score with Stone in the game. Riley is now up to 17 RBI and three homers to go with a disappointing .725 OPS over 124 at-bats. Rotoworld May 3, 10:15 pm
