    • Adds another steal
Ramirez went 1-for-4 with an RBI, a stolen base and a run scored in Friday's 7-1 win over the Blue Jays.

Advice: The Guardians did all their damage in the second inning, with Ramirez contributing an RBI single to the seven-run rally. The third baseman has gone 5-for-16 with three steals, three RBI and four runs scored over four games since he returned from the paternity list. Ramirez is at a .271/.331/.521 slash line with 14 steals in 16 attempts, 18 home runs, 65 RBI and 55 runs scored through 70 contests as the engine of the Guardians' offense. • Clean inning for save
Miller struck out one in a perfect inning to earn the save in Friday's 6-5 win over the Twins.

Advice: Shea Langeliers put the Athletics ahead in the eighth inning, and Miller was able to slam the door in the ninth. He hasn't been charged with a run over his last 4.2 innings while posting a 5:2 K:BB in that span. The closer is up to 14 saves with a 2.08 ERA, 0.81 WHIP and 60:13 K:BB over 34.2 innings this season. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:15 pm

    • Hobbled Jurickson Profar pulled for pinch-runner
Jurickson Profar was lifted for a pinch-runner in the seventh inning Friday against the Brewers.

Advice: This probably wasn’t a move the Padres would have made unless Profar’s knee was acting up again. José Azocar ran for him in the game against the Brewers. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:36 pm

    • May have aggravated knee issue
Profar (knee) was removed for a pinch runner in the seventh inning of Friday's game against the Brewers, AJ Cassavell of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Profar dealt with a knee injury earlier in June, and he didn't appear to be running at full strength to begin Friday's game. As a result, the Padres replaced him after a one-out double with the score tied 5-5 in the seventh. Profar could end up getting additional time off this weekend. • Mason Miller needs just seven pitches for save
Mason Miller struck out one in a clean ninth to get a save against the Twins on Friday.

Advice: Miller “only” picked up one strikeout, but he also needed just seven pitches to get through the outing with five of those landing for strikes. The 25-year-old has locked down 14 saves for the A’s in 2024, and his ERA is a very healthy 2.08. The future is incredibly bright for Miller as long as he can stay on the field, but this version is pretty darn good, too. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:09 pm

    • Bryan Reynolds homers in loss
Bryan Reynolds went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and a walk on Friday against the Rays.

Advice: The home run was Reynolds’ 11th of the season and landed all the way in the Allegheny River beyond the concourse in right-center field. The homer also extended his hitting streak to 18 games. He’s become one of the most dependable yet unspectacular outfield bats in baseball. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:31 pm

    • Strikes out eight in win
Flaherty (5-4) earned the win against the White Sox on Friday, allowing one run on five hits and two walks with eight strikeouts over 5.2 innings.

Advice: Flaherty threw four scoreless innings before surrendering a solo home run to Tommy Pham in the fifth. He then allowed a hit and a walk with two outs in the sixth before being pulled just shy of a quality start at 98 pitches. The home run was the first earned run Flaherty has allowed since May 23, and the pitch count was encouraging considering he was limited to 73 pitches in his last outing following a back injury. On the season, he owns a 2.92 ERA, 0.97 WHIP and 108:13 K:BB over 83.1 innings and tentatively lines up to face the Phillies next week. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 6:30 pm

    • Jack Flaherty strikes out eight in win on Friday
Jack Flaherty delivered an excellent performance in Friday night’s victory over the White Sox, racking up eight strikeouts over 5 2/3 innings of one-run baseball.

Advice: The right-hander scattered five hits on the night while issuing a pair of free passes. The lone tally against him came on a solo homer off the bat of Tommy Pham in the fifth inning. Aside from that though, he was in complete control. Flaherty got 14 swings and misses on 98 pitches in the ballgame — seven of those on his slider — while posting a strong CSW of 34 percent. Now 5-4 on the season, the increasingly popular trade candidate will carry a sublime 2.92 ERA, 0.97 WHIP and a 108/13 K/BB ratio (83 1/3 innings) into Wednesday’s battle against the Phillies. • David Fry absent from Guardians lineup on Friday
David Fry is not in the Guardians’ starting lineup for Friday night’s battle against the Blue Jays.

Advice: After lighting the world on fire for a couple of weeks at the plate, Fry has fallen on hard times since the calendar flipped to June — hitting just .208/.269/.292 with zero homers, three RBI and a 10/3 K/BB ratio over 52 plate appearances in his last 12 games. Austin Hedges will function as the Guardians’ catcher on Friday night and will bat ninth against Yariel Rodriguez and the Blue Jays. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:32 pm
