• Excellent again in hard-luck loss
Glasnow (6-4) was stuck with the loss Tuesday, allowing one run on three hits and two walks while striking out nine over six innings.

Advice: Jack Suwinski's solo home run in the third inning was the lone tally against Glasnow, though it proved to be enough to leave him with the loss in a 1-0 shutout defeat. Still, it was another strong outing from the 30-year-old Glasnow, who now has eight or more strikeouts in seven of his last eight starts. His ERA is down to 2.93 on the year with a 0.90 WHIP and a league-leading 104 strikeouts through 13 starts (80 innings). Glasnow's currently lined up for an intriguing road matchup with the Yankees this weekend. Rotowire.com 13 minutes ago

  • Spencer Arrighetti gets quick hook Tuesday vs. Cards
Spencer Arrighetti left Tuesday’s start against the Cardinals after allowing one run over three innings.

Advice: The hits keep on coming for Houston. On the heels of his strongest outing of the season, Arrighetti was lifted to open the fourth inning after throwing just 64 pitches a couple frames after being struck in the left leg by a 103-mph line-drive. There should be an update on the 24-year-old’s status soon. It’s possible his early exit was merely for precautionary reasons, but he’ll presumably undergo some additional testing to rule out anything serious. Rotoworld 18 minutes ago
  • Blanks Dodgers in fourth win
Jones (4-5) earned the win Tuesday over the Dodgers, allowing three hits and three walks over six scoreless innings. He struck out six.

Advice: It was an impressive return to form for Jones after he gave up a season-high five runs in 4.1 innings in his last start against Detroit. It's the fifth quality start in Jones' last six outings -- his ERA now sits at 3.25 with a 1.01 WHIP 76:15 K:BB across 12 starts (69.1 innings) in his rookie campaign. The 22-year-old Jones is currently lined up for a home matchup with the Twins this weekend in his next start. Rotowire.com 24 minutes ago

  • Seth Lugo wears down late against Guardians
Seth Lugo allowed five runs on six hits in six innings in a no-decision against the Guardians.

Advice: Lugo started the game with three scoreless innings before allowing three runs in the fourth. However, he settled down and threw two more scoreless innings but the Royals brought him back out for the seventh where he allowed a single and a two-run home runs before being pulled from the game. Lugo posted a 27 percent CSW on the night and induced eight whiffs on 46 swings. He doesn’t miss many bats, but he has been tremendous this season with a 2.16 ERA. He should certainly be started this weekend against the Mariners. Rotoworld 31 minutes ago

  • McKenzie hit hard in no-decision against Royals
Triston McKenzie allowed five runs on nine hits in 5 1/3 innings in a no-decision against the Royals on Tuesday.

Advice: McKenzie allowed four extra-base hits on the day but three of them were home runs, including two by Bobby Witt Jr. The lanky right-hander was able to pitch well after word came out that he was pitching through a tear in his throwing elbow; however, he’s now allowed 12 earned runs over 15 1/3 innings in his last three starts. McKenzie’s off-speed pitches posted 10 whiffs on 19 swings, but his four-seam fastball didn’t miss bats and got hit hard. Given his injury and lack of velocity, McKenzie is walking a tightrope and doesn’t need to be held in all fantasy leagues. He now has a 4.16 ERA on the season heading into a tasty matchup against the Marlins on Sunday. Rotoworld 39 minutes ago

  • Zach Eflin (back) to start Wednesday vs. Marlins
Zach Eflin (back) will start on Wednesday against the Marlins.

Advice: It’s a soft landing spot for Eflin as he draws the starting assignment for Wednesday’s series finale against a light-hitting Marlins lineup that ranks 29th this season in runs scored. The 30-year-old righty has been on the shelf since late May due to lower back inflammation. Rotoworld Today, 5:39 pm

  • Aaron Ashby might start Wednesday vs. Phillies
Todd Rosiak of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports Aaron Ashby could start on Wednesday against the Phillies.

Advice: Ashby has already joined the Brewers in Philadelphia and appears to be an option to take the ball for Wednesday’s series finale at Citizens Bank Park. The 26-year-old lefty hasn’t been lights-out this season at Triple-A Nashville, but Milwaukee doesn’t have a ton of options with Robert Gasser (elbow), Joe Ross (back), Jakob Junis (shoulder, head) and DL Hall (knee) all sidelined due to injury. • Bobby Miller (shoulder) to start this week at AAA
Bobby Miller (shoulder) will make a minor league rehab start this week for Triple-A Oklahoma City.

Advice: Miller dealt with some diminished velocity last weekend in his second minor league rehab start for Single-A Rancho Cucamonga, but the Dodgers reportedly aren’t concerned. The 25-year-old righty is slated to pitch against some higher-level minor-league competition this week before the club re-evaluates whether he’s ready to return to the majors. • Clayton Kershaw (shoulder) targeting midseason return
Clayton Kershaw (shoulder) faced hitters last weekend in a simulated game at Dodger Stadium.

Advice: Kershaw is ahead of schedule in his rehabilitation process from offseason shoulder surgery and appears likely to be ready for a midseason return to Los Angeles’ starting rotation mix. The 36-year-old southpaw should be ready for a two-inning simulated game at Single-A Rancho Cucamonga at some point this week. Rotoworld Today, 5:28 pm
