    • Alexis Díaz earns 16th save on Tuesday
Alexis Díaz pitched a scoreless ninth inning to preserve a 2-1 win over the Pirates on Tuesday.

Advice: The save was Díaz’s 16th of the season and 5th in the month of June. It was a nice rebound from his tough outing against the Brewers last time out and Díaz has now thrown a scoreless inning in eight of his last 11 appearances. The bigger key for the 27-year-old was that he didn’t walk a batter in this outing, only the second time in June he’s accomplished that. He needs to keep the walks down if he’s going to continue having success at the end of games. Rotoworld 11 minutes ago

    • Abrams pushes hitting streak to 11 games in loss
CJ Abrams went 2-for-4 in the Nationals’ loss to the Diamondbacks on Tuesday.

Advice: Abrams was responsible for two of the Nationals’ four hits on the night, with both coming off starter Slade Cecconi, who was dialed in all evening. Abrams has now hit safely in 11 straight games and is slashing .298/.377/.574 in the month of June. Rotoworld Today, 6:17 pm

    • On base four times in rout
Alonso went 3-for-5 with a walk, a run scored and two RBI in Monday's win over the Rangers.

Advice: The first baseman kept the line moving for the Mets in a 14-2 rout. Alonso still isn't supplying his usual power, but he's picked up the pace a bit in June, slashing .259/.348/.483 through 14 games with four doubles, three homers, nine runs and 12 RBI. • Quiets Colorado at Coors Field
Paxton (7-1) earned the win over the Rockies on Monday, allowing one run on two hits and one walk while striking out eight batters over seven innings.

Advice: Paxton gave up a second-inning solo homer but otherwise dominated Colorado hitters, holding them to just one additional hit. The veteran hurler completed seven innings for the first time this season and notched his second consecutive quality start. Paxton also tallied a season-high eight punchouts -- three more than his previous top mark in 2024 -- and walked just one batter. There was some uncertainty about Paxton's role after two recent poor starts given that Bobby Miller (shoulder) is set to return this week, but with back-to-back strong outings and with Yoshinobu Yamamoto (shoulder) set to miss several weeks of action, Paxton's place in the rotation looks to be secure. • James Paxton goes seven strong to win at Coors
James Paxton limited the Rockies to one run and two hits in seven innings to win at Coors Field on Monday.

Advice: It’s difficult to predict Paxton’s performances this season. He looked done 10 days ago after giving up seven runs and getting pulled in the second versus the Pirates, but he’s since bounced back by allowing two runs and four hits in 13 innings in his last two starts. The Yoshinobu Yamamoto injury took the idea of stashing Paxton on the IL off the board for the Dodgers. He still doesn’t seem like a great bet at this point, but he is a streaming option while pitching for one of baseball’s best teams. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:08 pm

    • Reaches base five times in loss
Chisholm went 2-for-2 with a triple, an RBI, a run scored, and three walks in Monday's 7-6 extra-innings loss to the Cardinals.

Advice: Chisholm drove in the Marlins' first run with a two-out triple off Sonny Gray in the sixth inning. The Cardinals couldn't retire Chisholm in any of his five plate appearances, and he drew three walks in a game for just the second time in his career. The center fielder extended his modest hitting streak to six games, and he sports a .266/.336/.449 slash line with 10 home runs, 35 RBI, and 13 steals on the year. • Picks up three hits, stolen base
De La Cruz went 3-for-4 with a double and a stolen base in Monday's 4-1 loss to the Pirates.

Advice: De La Cruz produced his fifth three-hit effort of the season Monday. He has multi-hit games in three of his last four and a stolen base in three straight contests. The 22-year-old now has 37 steals through 72 games this season, which puts him on pace to reach 80 thefts by the end of the campaign. The speedster carries a .242/.340/.447 slash line with 12 home runs and 31 RBI. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:21 pm

    • Jazz Chisholm Jr. reaches base five times in loss
Jazz Chisholm Jr. went 2-for-2 with an RBI on Monday in the Marlins’ extra-inning loss to the Cardinals.

Advice: Chisholm walked three times in the extra-inning marathon, reaching base safely in all five of his plate appearances, but it wasn’t enough as Miami lost for the eighth time in their last 10 games since June 7. He also delivered a game-tying RBI triple against Cardinals starter Sonny Gray in the sixth inning. The 26-year-old outfielder has played almost every game this season for Miami and boasts a .785 OPS with 10 homers and 13 steals through 71 games. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:28 pm

    • Fans six in no-decision
Fried allowed a run on four hits and three walks over 5.1 innings in a no-decision Monday. He struck out six during the win over Detroit.

Advice: Fried worked five scoreless frames until the Tigers finally broke through with a run in the sixth inning. He wasn't very efficient Monday, throwing 60 of 103 pitches for strikes while failing to complete six innings for the second straight outing. Fried dropped his ERA to 3.11 with a 76:27 K:BB through 84 innings. He's currently in line for a tough road matchup with the Yankees this weekend. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:18 pm
