      Advice: In his most recent start Friday against the Astros, Kirby contended with a right knee issue and was lifted after just 88 pitches. Kirby was sent in for an MRI on Saturday, and though the Mariners aren't disclosing the results of his imaging, neither the pitcher nor manager Scott Servais believe the knee issue is anything concerning, per MLB.com. The Mariners' tune could change if Kirby's knee is still bothering him following a between-starts bullpen session, but for now, fantasy managers should plan on the right-hander being available to start Wednesday without restrictions. He's now back tied atop the leaderboard with 10 home runs on the year and leads all of baseball with 33 RBI.       Ragans (calf) is listed as the Royals' probable starting pitcher for Monday's game against the Brewers in Kansas City.

      Advice: Ragans experienced cramping in his left calf in his most recent start this past Tuesday against the Blue Jays, but he had already tossed 6.2 innings (105 pitches) and likely wouldn't have stayed in the game any longer even if he wasn't experiencing any discomfort. The Royals didn't suggest that Ragans required any follow-up testing, so he's not expected to face any restrictions as he takes the hill Monday for his eighth start of the season.       Blue Jays manager John Schneider said after Sunday's 11-8 loss to the Nationals that Manoah will remain in the rotation for at least one more turn, Kaitlyn McGrath of The Athletic reports.

      Advice: After Manoah struck out 12 over six innings of one-run ball in the fifth start of his minor-league rehab assignment with Triple-A Buffalo, the Blue Jays determined he was ready to return from a season-opening stint on the 15-day injured list due to shoulder inflammation. While taking the hill Sunday for the Blue Jays for the first time since Aug. 10, 2023, Manoah unfortunately reverted to the poor form that he displayed throughout last season, as he was tagged for seven runs (six earned) on six hits and four walks while striking out six over four innings. Though Manoah remained plagued by spotty control (52 strikes on 92 pitches) and command, Schneider stressed that the right-hander's standing in the rotation wouldn't be determined by just one start. Manoah thus looks on track to get at least another opportunity to redeem himself, though it's not immediately clear when his next start will come. Manoah tentatively lines up for a home start next Sunday against the Twins, but the Blue Jays have off days Monday and Thursday and could get by with a four-man rotation until at least May 14 in Baltimore if they so choose.       Advice: Arozarena took Edwin Diaz yard in the ninth inning to tie the game, tallying his fifth home run of the season and second in his last three starts. He also swiped his fifth base of the year and has yet to be caught. It's been an ugly start to the season for Arozarena, and even with this burst of power, he has failed to record multiple hits in a game since March 30. The slow start has been the result of some bad luck -- he has a .165 BABIP -- but he's also struck out at an elevated 29.8 percent clip across 141 plate appearances.       Paxton (4-0) earned the win over Atlanta on Sunday, allowing one run on five hits and two walks while striking out three over 6.2 innings.

      Advice: The only real damage against Paxton came from a solo home run to Marcell Ozuna in the seventh. Paxton put together his most efficient outing of the year, needing only 84 pitches to get 20 outs, as his two walks were his fewest in a start since April 8. Paxton's strikeout numbers remain significantly lower compared to his career numbers, but he's still finding ways to grid out results.       Advice: Hernandez homered for the second time in three games and has tallied at least a hit in 10-of-12 games since April 23. The 31-year-old is slashing .252/.320/.468 with eight homers, 25 RBI, 23 runs and a 13:49 BB:K in 153 plate appearances. Hernandez is showing increased signs of power from a year ago but strikeouts still remain an issue.     • Report: Tanner Scott could be next Marlin traded
      According to Buster Olney, sources told him that Tanner Scott is “the guy on their roster you’d look at” but Josh Bell could also interest teams as well.

      Advice: After the Marlins traded Luis Arraez this weekend, assuming a firesale would follow was only logical. Scott was electric as the closer for the Marlins last year, but has seen some control issues resurface this season. He has a 2.77 ERA and four saves, but he also has 14 walks in 13 innings. If he were to be traded, he would likely serve as a setup man, and the Marlins could turn back to A.J. Puk in the closer’s role which means Puk could be worth a speculative add in leagues.
