      Holmes picked up the save Sunday against the Dodgers. He pitched a scoreless ninth but allowed two hits and struck out a batter.

      Advice: Holmes quickly got the first two outs of the inning but then ran into some trouble after allowing back-to-back base hits to bring Mookie Betts up to the plate. Holmes was able to get Betts to whiff on a slider to end the game and pick up his 19th save. Holmes is now tied with Emmanuel Clase for second in baseball in saves.     • Clay Holmes walks tightrope, but escapes with save
      Clay Holmes walked the tightrope against the Dodgers in the ninth inning on Sunday, but managed to escape with a two-run lead intact to earn his 19th save of the season.

      Advice: Holmes had no trouble getting the first two outs of the inning, but then he allowed singles to Gavin Lux and Enrique Hernandez to put the tying runs on base for Mookie Betts. He battled back though, getting Betts on a swinging third strike to close it out for the Yankees. The 31-year-old hurler has been outstanding this season, posting a 1.23 ERA and 29/8 K/BB ratio over 29 1/3 innings to go along with his 19 saves. Rotoworld Sunday, 6:56 pm
       
    • So-so in no-decision
      Jones did not factor into the decision Sunday against Minnesota, allowing three runs (two earned) on six hits and three walks in five innings. He struck out three.

      Advice: Jones struggled to find his footing early, allowing all three of his runs in a shaky first inning during which he walked two batters and allowed the bases to be loaded with just one out. The 22-year-old rookie was able to settle in afterward, but his control has been a minor cause of concern recently -- Sunday was his fourth consecutive game allowing multiple walks. In that span, Jones has compiled a 4.25 ERA, a 1.46 WHIP and a meager 16:11 K:BB over 21.2 innings. Jones is still an excellent fantasy option, although he will be tested in his next start, currently scheduled for next weekend at Coors Field in Colorado. Rotowire.com Sunday, 3:43 pm

      Imanaga (6-1) picked up the win Sunday against the Reds, allowing two earned runs on five hits and one walk in 6.2 innings. He struck out seven.

      Advice: Imanaga notched his seventh quality start of the season despite allowing a home run for the third consecutive start. The southpaw struggled in his previous two appearances, allowing 12 runs (eight earned) in just 8.2 innings. Despite the recent rough patch, the 30-year-old rookie has been excellent this season, pitching to a 1.96 ERA and a 1.03 WHIP with an elite 72:11 K:BB in 69 innings.     • Jared Jones battles in no decision on Sunday
      Jared Jones allowed three runs on six hits in five innings in a no-decision against the Twins on Sunday.

      Advice: The rookie also walked three and struck out three on the day. Jones got 14 whiffs on 42 swings for a 33 percent whiff rate and 29 percent CSW, but he also allowed nine hard-hit baseballs on the day. Jones has now allowed three earned runs in four of his last five starts, but the other start was a masterful shutout of the Dodgers, which shows you just how hard it is to bench Jones when he has this much raw talent. There will be some ups and downs in his rookie season, and it’s understandable if you want to bench Jones next week in Coors Field, but the rookie’s stuff hasn’t shown any meaningful decline.     • Shota Imanaga wins for first time in a month
      Shota Imanaga got back into the win column Sunday after allowing two runs in 6 2/3 innings versus the Reds.

      Advice: He struck out seven. Imanaga, who was 5-0 through six turns this season, had gone five straight starts without a win, though only the last two of those outings were bad. His ERA stands at 1.96, and the Cubs are 10-2 when he pitches, compared to 22-32 the rest of the time. Rotoworld Sunday, 2:08 pm
       
    • Limits Rays to one hit
      Bradish (2-0) earned the win over Tampa Bay on Saturday, allowing one hit and no walks while striking out nine batters over six scoreless innings.

      Advice: Bradish was given two extra days of rest after struggling against the Rays in his previous start, and the extra time off proved to be a remedy to getting him back on the track. The right-hander allowed an infield single to the first batter he faced in the outing, then retired the final 18 hitters to step up to the plate against him. Bradish is still easing his way back after missing the first month of the campaign due to an elbow injury, which explains why he was pulled after just 88 pitches, but that was enough for him to pick up both his second win and second quality start. If he returns to pitching on a regular five-day schedule, Bradish is next lined up for a tough road matchup against Atlanta. Rotowire.com Saturday, 5:48 pm

      Kyle Bradish threw six shutout innings and got the win in the Orioles’ 5-0 victory over the Rays on Saturday.



      Advice: Bradish gave up one hit, walked none and struck out nine. He was outstanding as he bounced back from a rough last start. Bradish recorded 14 whiffs and had a 34 percent CSW. He’s now won two of his last three starts. If Bradish can stay healthy for the rest of the year, he’ll be one of the best pitchers in fantasy.     • Blanks Yanks in no-decision
      Yamamoto came away with a no-decision in Friday's 2-1 extra-innings win over the Yankees, allowing two hits and two walks over seven scoreless innings. He struck out seven.

      Advice: The 25-year-old right-hander was brilliant in his longest scoreless outing in MLB so far, generating 33 called or swinging strikes among his season-high 106 pitches, but neither offense was able to put runs on the board until the 11th inning. Yamamoto will take a 3.00 ERA, 1.07 WHIP and 83:16 K:BB through 72 innings into his next start, which lines up to come at home next weekend against the Royals. Rotowire.com Saturday, 6:00 am
