      Advice: Santander banged up his knee when he collided with the outfield wall and then aggravated it on a double and a slide in the eighth inning before being lifted in the ninth. The injury doesn't sound like a big concern, and it's possible the Orioles' scheduled off day Thursday will be enough rest for Santander.       Advice: Santander initially suffered the injury when he crashed into the outfield wall in the third inning on Wednesday. It doesn’t sound like it’s anything that should require a trip to the injured list, but there’s a chance that the 29-year-old slugger will be held out of the lineup an extra day or two to be on the safe side.       Advice: Goldschmidt has gone 6-for-19 (.316) over the last four games, adding three RBI and three runs scored in that span, though he's also struck out 10 times. Any progress is a positive for the first baseman -- he went 0-for-27 over seven games to begin May.       Advice: Yikes. Goldschmidt was unable to really get anything going in his return to St. Louis’ lineup after receiving a couple days off to mentally reset and work on his swing. The 36-year-old veteran first baseman, who was the National League’s MVP Award winner just two seasons ago, is off to the worst start of his career, batting .190 (27-for-142) with two homers, 11 RBI and one steal through 37 contests. Perhaps the most alarming aspect of his early-season decline is that he’s striking out at a career-worst 31.7 percent clip so far. Simply put, it’s not what you want.       Advice: Santander's eighth-inning blast was what ultimately forced extra innings Saturday. The outfielder has gone deep three times and driven in seven runs over his last five games. For the season, Santander is sporting a .217/.301/.449 slash line with seven long balls, 25 RBI, 20 runs scored, nine doubles and a triple. He still has yet to attempt a stolen base this season. That makes sense, as he’s slashing a putrid .195/.287/.263 with just two homers, 11 RBI, one swipe and a 47/16 K/BB ratio over 152 plate appearances to start the season. There’s nowhere to go but up, so fantasy managers will just have to hope that whatever changes he made make a difference.
