    • Not an option Sunday
Yankees manager Aaron Boone said after Sunday's 6-4 win over the Dodgers that Soto (forearm) "probably" wasn't available off the bench, Gary Phillips of the New York Daily News reports.

Advice: Soto went through his normal pregame routine in the hopes of entering Sunday's game as a pinch hitter. Though Boone said that Soto responded well to the pregame workout, the Yankees still opted to err on the side of caution and keep the star outfielder on the bench throughout the night. Soto's status for Monday's series opener versus the Royals thus remains murky after he missed the entirety of the three-game series with the Dodgers due to forearm soreness. • Triples, drives in two
Langford went 2-for-4 with a triple and two RBI during Sunday's win over the Giants.

Advice: Langford recorded his fourth multi-hit game in the last nine while collecting his fifth and sixth RBI over that same span. Langford is starting to show some positive signs after a slow start to the season, lifting his average to .234 with Sunday's effort and hitting .286 with a double and two triples over this most recent nine-game stretch. • Alex Bregman (wrist) considered day-to-day
Astros’ manager Joe Espada told reporters after Sunday’s loss to the Angels that X-rays came back negative on the injured left wrist of Alex Bregman.

Advice: Bregman noted that while he got hit flush on his hand earlier in the week, the pitch that got him on Sunday was on his wrist instead. Fortunately, X-rays came back negative for any fractures and he’s considered day-to-day. Expect him to return to action early next week. Rotoworld Sunday, 4:57 pm
    • Initial tests come back clean
X-rays on Bregman's left wrist came back clean Sunday, Matt Kawahara of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Advice: Bregman was forced to exit Sunday's game against the Angels after being hit on the wrist by a sinker. It was the second time since Wednesday he's been hit in the hand area by a pitch, though he told reporters after the game that he was hit in a different spot the second time. Bregman also declared himself good to go, but it will still be worth confirming he is in Houston's lineup Monday against the Giants. Rotowire.com Sunday, 4:43 pm
    • Alex Bregman (hand) leaves game after hit by pitch
Alex Bregman was removed from Sunday’s game against the Angels after being hit by a pitch on his left hand.

Advice: Bregman was plunked by a 93.4 mph sinker on the same hand that he was hit on earlier in the week. He did stay in the game to run the bases for himself but was ultimately removed when the Astros took the field. He’ll presumably head for X-rays to see if there’s any structural damage. Stay tuned. • Exits after HBP on hand
Bregman exited Sunday's game against the Angels after being hit on the left hand by a 93.4 mph sinker in the sixth inning, Chandler Rome of The Athletic reports.

Advice: He will presumably go for tests to determine the extent of the injury beyond the initial designation of "discomfort". Bregman missed a game last week when the same hand swelled up after a similar injury. Trey Cabbage entered the game in left field following Bregman's departure Sunday, while Mauricio Dubon moved to third base. Rotowire.com Sunday, 3:11 pm
    • Could come off bench Sunday
Yankees manager Aaron Boone said that Soto (forearm) will go through his normal pregame routine and may be available off the bench Sunday against the Dodgers, Jorge Castillo of ESPN.com reports.

Advice: Boone also indicated that Soto should rejoin the lineup during the four-game series in Kansas City that begins Monday, as the outfielder appears to be progressing well in his recovery from forearm inflammation. It remains to be seen if the 25-year-old will be back in action Monday against the Royals, but it appears his absence won't extend too much longer. Rotowire.com Sunday, 1:21 pm

    • Marcus Semien homers in win over Giants
Marcus Semien went 1-for-3 with a home run, two RBI, and two runs scored in a 7-2 win over the Giants on Sunday.

Advice: The home run was Semien’s 11th of the season to go along with 37 RBIs. He may not have the triple-slash that you expect to see from Semien, but the counting stats have been great and he is cemented into the leadoff spot for the Rangers. He’s one of the most consistent players in baseball, and so we expect the batting average and power to tick up; however, the lack of speed this season has been a bit concerning for the 33-year-old. • Wyatt Langford has two hits in win over Giants
Wyatt Langford went 2-for-4 with a triple and two RBI in a win over the Giants on Sunday.

Advice: Langford got off to a slow start to his MLB career and then wound up on the IL, but his underlying metrics suggested he deserved better. He was making regular contact and showing a good understanding of the strike zone, but the results weren’t there. Since coming off the IL he’s now gone 10-for-38 with three runs scored and six RBI. He’s still in the lineup essentially every day and sporting a strikeout rate of just 20 percent, which is great for a 22-year-old in his first MLB experience. The hot streak is going to come.
