    • Nick Gonzales with two more hits
Nick Gonzales went 2-for-5 with a run scored against the Blue Jays on Friday.

Advice: Gonzales has been a welcome surprise so far this season slashing .319/.377/.536 across 19 games. His nearly 17% barrel rate would be one of the best in the league if he were a qualified hitter and he should remain a regular for the offensively starved Pirates. Rotoworld Today, 8:07 pm

    • Four hits in twin bill
Gonzales went 4-for-9 with a double, a home run, two runs scored and two RBI across both games of Wednesday's doubleheader split with the Tigers.

Advice: The Pirates were blanked in the opener and managed only three hits in total off Tarik Skubal and the Detroit bullpen, but Gonzales had one of them. The 25-year-old second baseman really came to life in the second contest, as he launched a solo shot off Keider Montero in the fourth inning and was a key part of a 10-2 rout by Pittsburgh. Gonzales has hit safely in 13 of the last 15 games as he solidifies his spot in the Bucs' lineup, batting .328 (19-for-58) over that stretch with three homers, a steal, nine runs and 14 RBI. • Sitting against lefty
Wisely is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Phillies, Shayna Rubin of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Advice: Though he'll retreat to the bench with southpaw Cristopher Sanchez on the hill for Philadelphia, the lefty-hitting Wisely looks to have captured the strong side of a platoon at shortstop with the right-handed-hitting Marco Luciano, who gets the starting nod Wednesday. Wisely started in five of the previous six games, going 9-for-17 with a home run, a stolen base, five RBI and three runs. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 10:46 am

    • Bryson Stott goes hitless against Giants
Bryson Stott, who didn’t start Monday, went 0-for-4 in the loss to the Giants on Tuesday.

Advice: Stott has run extremely hot and cold this season, posting a .559 OPS over his first 25 games and a 1.242 OPS over his subsequent 18 games. Now he’s back in another drought, having gone 2-for-28 in his last eight games. The good news is that he’s struck out just three times during that span. He still projects as a useful MI in mixed leagues going forward. Rotoworld Tuesday, 11:39 pm

    • Gaining playing time at shortstop
Wisely went 2-for-4 with a double and two RBI in Monday's 8-4 win over the Phillies.

Advice: After being called up from Triple-A Sacramento on May 11, Wisely started in just one of the ensuing 10 games, but the 25-year-old since appears to have moved into the strong side of a platoon at shortstop with Marco Luciano. Wisely has started in each of the last three games and in three of the Giants' previous four matchups with right-handed starting pitchers, going a collective 9-for-15 with a home run, a double, a stolen base, five RBI and three runs during that stretch. So long as he's swinging a hot bat, Wisely should continue to play ahead of Luciano until Nick Ahmed (wrist) is reinstated from the injured list. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 8:31 am

    • Belts fourth homer in win
Bichette went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Monday's win over the White Sox.

Advice: He took Nick Nastrini deep in the fourth inning, one of three long balls for Toronto on the day. Bichette is batting .424 (14-for-33) over the last eight games, boosting his slash line on the season to .247/.297/.366 with four homers, four steals, 18 runs and 23 RBI through 50 contests. • Bryson Stott gets a day off on Monday
Bryson Stott is not in the lineup for the Phillies game against the Giants on Monday.

Advice: It’s a routine day off for Stott, which was a decision made easier by the Giants starting left-hander Blake Snell. Edmundo Sosa will move up to sixth in the lineup while Whit Merrifield will play second base and hit seventh. Cristian Pache will also start in left field with Brandon Marsh sitting against the lefty. Rotoworld Monday, 11:19 am

    • Sitting against left-hander
Stott is not in the lineup for Monday's game in San Francisco.

Advice: The Giants are starting reigning National League Cy Young winner and southpaw Blake Snell on Monday, so the left-handed hitting Stott will receive a day off. Whit Merrifield will handle second base for the Phillies. Rotowire.com Monday, 11:17 am

    • Smacks first homer
Wisely went 2-for-3 with a solo home run in Sunday's 4-3 loss to the Mets.

Advice: Wisely has strung together three multi-hit efforts, going 7-for-11 in that span. The homer was his first extra-base hit of the campaign. That hot stretch has allowed Wisely to mount a challenge for playing time at shortstop, which has come at the expense of Marco Luciano. It's a battle the Giants will likely hope for Luciano to win in the long run, as Wisely is best suited to a bench role given his defensive versatility. Rotowire.com Sunday, 7:20 pm
