    • Two more pilfers in loss
De La Cruz went 0-for-4 with two stolen bases in Wednesday's 4-3 loss to the Diamondbacks.

Advice: After reaching base on a fielder's choice in the fifth inning, De La Cruz promptly stole second and third base, but the Reds couldn't bring him home. The 22-year-old phenom is up to 21 steals on the season, tops in the majors by a healthy margin -- second place is a three-way at 14 between Ronald Acuna, Brice Turang and Jose Caballero. De La Cruz has gone 0-for-15 over the last four games, but he still sports a .254/.356/.516 slash line on the season with eight homers, 19 RBI and 27 runs in 36 contests. • Falls just short of quality start
Parker allowed two runs on five hits and one walk while striking out three batters over 5.2 innings in a no-decision against Baltimore on Wednesday.

Advice: Parker served up his first two homers of the season -- both solo shots -- in the contest, but those were the only runs he allowed. He was given the hook after throwing only 77 pitches with two outs in the sixth inning, preventing him from notching his second quality start. Despite that disappointment and the fact that he fanned only three batters, this was another positive outing for the rookie, as he's now given up two or fewer runs in four of his five appearances. Parker has made a strong impression in the majors thus far with a 2.67 ERA, 1.07 WHIP and 22:5 K:BB over 27 innings through five starts. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:48 pm
    • Goes deep again
De La Cruz went 2-for-4 with a solo home run during Wednesday's 3-1 loss to the Dodgers.

Advice: De La Cruz produced the only run for the Marlins, tagging Gavin Stone for a solo shot in the fourth inning. The DH has gone yard in three of his last five games, bringing his season total to eight. With Wednesday's homer, De La Cruz's ISO sits at .205, up from .154 last season. • Mitchell Parker pitches well in no-decision vs O’s
Mitchell Parker pitched well in a no-decision against the Orioles on Wednesday night, allowing just two runs on five hits over his 5 2/3 innings of work.

Advice: The 24-year-old hurler punched out three batters on the night while issuing one free pass. All of the damage done against him came via the long ball, with Anthony Santander blasting a solo homer in the fourth inning and Gunnar Henderson adding a solo shot in the sixth. Parker got seven swings and misses on 77 pitches on the night, posting a CSW of 26 percent. He’ll look to get back in the win column as he brings a 2.67 ERA, 1.07 WHIP and 22/5 K/BB ratio (27 innings) into Tuesday’s matchup against the White Sox in Chicago. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:41 pm
    • Gets back in win column
Singer (3-1) earned the win Wednesday against Milwaukee, allowing one run on five hits and two walks over 5.1 innings. He struck out four.

Advice: Singer tallied his first win in five starts, yielding one run for a third consecutive outing. He settled in nicely after allowing doubles to the first two batters he faced, keeping the Brewers off the scoreboard following the first frame. Singer has allowed more than two runs in just one start this season and owns a 2.36 ERA with 46 strikeouts across 45.2 innings. He's lined up for a start in Seattle on Monday. • Elly De La Cruz swipes two more bags in loss
Elly De La Cruz went 0-for-4 with a pair of strikeouts in Wednesday’s loss to the Diamondbacks — and still managed to steal a pair of bases.

Advice: The 22-year-old phenom reached base on a fielder’s choice in the fifth inning, then proceeded to steal second and third base before being stranded there. He has been an invaluable asset in fantasy leagues so far this season, slashing .254/.356/.516 with eight homers, 19 RBI and a league-leading 21 stolen bases (in 24 attempts). • Brady Singer spins 5 1/3 frames to defeat Brewers
Brady Singer yielded one run over 5 1/3 innings on Wednesday in a win over the Brewers.

Advice: Singer notched four strikeouts and also issued a pair of walks. He was lifted following just 89 pitches (58 strikes) after giving up a one-out single to Willy Adames in the sixth inning. He wasn’t overpowering, generating just four swinging strikes and finishing with a lackluster 26 percent CSW. The pedestrian strikeout rate means there’s some looming regression in the run-prevention department, but Singer has clearly established himself as a reliable back-end rotation option for fantasy managers. He’ll bring a solid 2.36 ERA, 1.01 WHIP and 46/15 K/BB ratio across 45 2/3 innings (eight starts) into a road tilt on Monday against the Mariners. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:56 pm
    • On track to return Friday
Royals manager Matt Quatraro said Wednesday that Marsh (elbow) remains on track to return from the 15-day injured list to start Friday versus the Angels, Anne Rogers of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Marsh was terrific in his lone rehab start with Triple-A Omaha on Sunday, striking out six over four shutout innings. The right-hander threw only 53 pitches in the outing, so he could be limited a bit from a workload perspective against the Angels. Marsh has missed the last couple weeks with a bruised right elbow. • Lifts another homer
Naylor went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run, a walk and two total runs scored in Tuesday's 11-7 loss to the Tigers.

Advice: Naylor has gone 6-for-24 with three homers and seven RBI over his last seven contests. He was swinging a hot bat earlier in the season, but he's traded a bit of contact for more power in recent weeks. Naylor is slashing .276/.364/.553 with nine homers, 28 RBI, 18 runs scored, seven doubles and two steals over 34 games. With top prospect Kyle Manzardo slumping to begin his major-league career, Naylor should continue to play on a near-everyday basis between first base and designated hitter.
