    • Nathaniel Lowe drives in three in win over A’s
Nathaniel Lowe went 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs scored, and a pair of walks in the Rangers 12-11 win in the second game of a doubleheader against the Athletics on Wednesday.

Advice: Lowe drew a walk in the third inning and scored on a base hit by Jonah Heim. He brought two more runs in to score for Texas with a base hit in the fourth. Lowe reached again with a walk in the eighth and scored on a single by Josh Smith before adding a third RBI with a single in the ninth. The 28-year-old first baseman is slashing .328/.438/.448 with one homer, 12 runs scored, and ten RBI across 80 plate appearances. Rotoworld Today, 7:19 pm

    • Absent from Wednesday's lineup
Goldschmidt is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game versus the Mets.

Advice: Goldschmidt is hitless in May and the Cardinals have discussed the possibility of giving him a few days off to clear his head and have him work on his approach at the plate. However, it's not yet clear whether his absence from the lineup Wednesday is the first of multiple days off, or just a one-off matter. Alec Burleson will handle first base in Goldschmidt's stead. • Sitting out multiple games possible
Cardinals manager Oliver Marmol said Tuesday that the team has considered sitting Goldschmidt for a few games as the first baseman works on his swing, Jeff Jones of the Belleville News-Democrat reports.

Advice: It doesn't sound like anything has been decided on Goldschmidt, with Marmol noting the club is "evaluating everything in order to get him right." In six games so far in May, Goldschmidt is 0-for-23 with a 10:3 K:BB. He's slashing just .196/.287/.263 on the season with a 30.9 percent strikeout rate. If the Cards do elect to give Goldschmidt a little break, Alec Burleson would likely handle first base. Rotowire.com Today, 6:17 am

    • On base four times in win
Lowe went 2-for-4 with two walks, a double, two RBI and a run scored in Tuesday's 15-8 win over Oakland.

Advice: Lowe, who has yet to have a day off since returning from an oblique injury in mid-April, has reached base safely 15 times in 16 games. The first baseman leads the team with a .429 on-base percentage and possesses a career-high walk rate of 15.7 percent. Rotowire.com Today, 5:05 am

    • Racks up four hits Saturday
Lowe went 4-for-6 with a double, two runs and two RBI against the Royals in Saturday's 15-4 victory.

Advice: The Rangers pounded Kansas City pitching for 17 hits in the win, and Lowe was a big contributor from the No. 3 slot in the lineup with a season-high four base knocks. The first baseman began the campaign on the injured list due to a right oblique strain, but he's slid into Texas' offense comfortably since returning, reaching base safely via hit or walk in all but one of his 13 contests. Lowe is slashing .333/.418/.458 with a home run, nine runs, four RBI and a stolen base through 55 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Saturday, 10:16 pm

    • Nathaniel Lowe posts four hits, two RBI in blowout
Nathaniel Lowe went 4-for-6 with a pair of RBI on Saturday, powering the Rangers to a lopsided 15-4 victory over the Royals.

Advice: Lowe exploded for a season-high four hits as the Rangers’ talented offensive core racked up a staggering 17 hits in this one. The 28-year-old first baseman kick-started an eventual blowout with a two-run single in the fourth inning off Royals starter Michael Wacha. The four-hit effort raises his batting average from .286 to .333 through 13 contests since missing the first few weeks of the season due to an oblique injury. Rotoworld Saturday, 8:50 pm

    • Getting breather Wednesday
Turner is out of the lineup for Wednesday's tilt versus the Royals.

Advice: It's a routine maintenance day for Turner, who hit two home runs in the series opener Monday before going hitless Tuesday. Daniel Vogelbach will serve as the designated hitter Wednesday and also occupy the cleanup spot. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 8:06 am

    • Collects five hits in twin bill
Goldschmidt went 5-for-9 with a double and two runs scored in Tuesday's doubleheader split versus the Tigers.

Advice: Goldschmidt had not collected five hits over any two-game span this season prior to Tuesday. Even with the strong performance, the first baseman is slashing a mediocre .236/.323/.318 with two home runs, 11 RBI, 14 runs scored, three doubles and a stolen base over 29 contests. Goldschmidt has yet to lose playing time amid his slow start, but that could change once the Cardinals get players like Dylan Carlson (shoulder), Tommy Edman (wrist) and Matt Carpenter (oblique) back from the injured list. On the positive side, Goldschmidt has hit safely in eight of his last 10 games, so he may be turning things around enough to maintain his place in the lineup. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 11:39 pm

    • Clubs pair of homers
Turner went 2-for-5 with a two-run home run and a solo home run during Monday's 6-5 win over the Royals.

Advice: Turner dominated Royals starter Jonathan Bowlan -- who was making his second career start -- notching home runs off him in the first and third innings. The contest doubled Turner's 2024 home run total and was his first multi-homer game since June of 2023. Through 28 games, Turner is slashing .311/.390/.533 with 15 RBI and 15 runs scored.
