• Andrés Muñoz available in relief this weekend
Andrés Muñoz (back) is available for Saturday’s game against the Royals.

Advice: Muñoz has been dealing with a back strain that he tweaked during an on-field collision earlier this week and appears ready to return this weekend after getting through a couple bullpen sessions without any issues. Rotoworld 21 minutes ago
  • DFA'd by Rox
The Rockies designated Carasiti for assignment Saturday.

Advice: After getting lit up for five earned runs in just 1.1 innings over his last two appearances, Carasiti will be jettisoned from Colorado's active roster. He owns a 7.41 ERA and 1.89 WHIP through 58.1 career MLB innings and will likely pass through waivers unclaimed. Rotowire.com 25 minutes ago
  • Report: Rockies calling up prospect Adael Amador
Independent journalist Francys Romero reports the Rockies are calling up top prospect Adael Amador.

Advice: Amador has been sizzling-hot of late for Double-A Harford, batting .359 with six homers over his last nine games, on the heels of a frosty start to the year. The 21-year-old prodigy possesses excellent bat-to-ball skills, which should lead to high batting averages in Colorado, and is starting to show some additional over-the-fence pop. It’s unclear how long he’ll remain in the majors, but he figures to be worthy of a speculative pickup in deeper mixed leagues. Rotoworld 27 minutes ago

  • Counsell: Nico Hoerner has small fracture in hand
Cubs manager Craig Counsell told reporters Saturday that Nico Hoerner has been diagnosed with a small fracture in his right hand.

Advice: Counsell added that team doctors are comfortable with Hoerner returning to action if the pain and swelling subside in his right hand. It sounds like the club is going to take a few additional days before making a decision on whether he’ll require a trip to the injured list. Fantasy managers should consider him day-to-day for now. • Diagnosed with hand fracture
Manager Craig Counsell said Saturday that Hoerner has a small fracture in his hand, Maddie Lee of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.

Advice: Counsell noted that the team's doctors are comfortable with Hoerner playing through his injury once the swelling subsides, and the Cubs will wait a few days to see how his hand recovers before deciding on a potential IL move. Meanwhile, David Bote figures to see regular action at second base while Hoerner is sidelined. Rotowire.com 33 minutes ago

  • Goes four frames in rehab start
Miller (shoulder) tossed four-plus innings in a rehab start with Triple-A Oklahoma City on Friday, allowing two runs (one earned) on four hits and two walks while striking out two batters.

Advice: This was Miller's third minor-league rehab appearance, and he's gradually worked up from three frames in his first rehab outing to four innings Friday. The righty hurler wasn't at his sharpest, but he approached a full workload with 85 pitches and sat at 97-98 mph with his fastball, per Eric Stephen of SBNation.com, after experiencing reduced velocity in his prior outing. Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said prior to Miller's outing Friday that it could be the pitcher's final minor-league appearance before returning to the big club, per Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic, but a decision on Miller's next step has not yet been announced. He's struggled throughout his rehab stint, collecting a 6.97ERA, 1.74 WHIP and 6:5 K:BB across 10.1 frames. Rotowire.com 36 minutes ago

  • Back in lineup
Kelenic (wrist) is starting in left field and batting ninth Saturday versus the Nationals

Advice: Kelenic missed Atlanta's last two games after injuring his wrist on a diving catch Wednesday, but it no longer seems to be an issue prior to Saturday's contest. The 24-year-old outfielder has gone 10-for-31 (.323) with three RBI and five runs scored over his last 10 games. Rotowire.com 42 minutes ago

  • Day off Saturday
Diaz isn't in the Rockies' lineup Saturday against St. Louis.

Advice: Diaz will take a seat Saturday after going 1-for-7 with two walks through the first two games of the series. Jacob Stallings will instead get the nod to start at catcher while batting sixth. Rotowire.com 48 minutes ago

  • Austin Hays available off bench Saturday vs. Rays
Austin Hays is available off the bench for Saturday’s game against the Rays.

Advice: Hays remains out of Baltimore’s lineup for the second straight contest after being hit by a pitch in the ribs during Thursday’s series finale against Toronto. Orioles manager Brandon Hyde told reporters X-rays came back negative on Hays’ ribs, but they want to stay away from using him in the field at least for a couple more days. Rotoworld 52 minutes ago
