• Report: Nathan Eovaldi unlikely to return Sunday
Jeff Wilson of Rangers Today reports Nathan Eovaldi (groin) is unlikely to return this weekend.

Advice: Eovaldi is progressing towards a return from the injured list, but it doesn’t sound like he’ll return this weekend, as the Rangers are most likely going to roll with a bullpen game for Sunday’s series finale against the Twins. There should be some additional clarity on his return timetable at some point this weekend. Rotoworld Saturday, 6:55 am
  • Dominant in win
Gausman (3-3) picked up the win over the Tigers on Thursday, allowing one run on three hits and two walks while striking out 10 over six innings.

Advice: Gausman had his best stuff of the year Thursday, striking out a season-high 10 batters while not allowing a hit until the sixth inning when Javier Baez tagged him for a leadoff single. The right-hander induced 18 whiffs on the night and struck out at least two batters in three different innings. He's now won his last three decisions (spanning five starts) and has given up one run or fewer in five of his last seven outings. Rotowire.com Friday, 4:10 am
  • Good start wasted
Feltner allowed four hits and two walks while striking out six over six scoreless innings in a no-decision versus the Athletics on Thursday.

Advice: This was arguably Feltner's best start of the campaign, but it was all for nothing as six Rockies relievers all gave up at least one run. The Athletics rallied to erase three deficits before ultimately winning in the 11th inning. Feltner's winless skid is at seven games, and he remains 1-4 on the year with a 5.07 ERA, 1.44 WHIP and 48:16 K:BB through 55 innings over 10 starts. He's projected to make his next start at home versus the Guardians. Rotowire.com Thursday, 7:33 pm

  • Gausman strikes out 10 in win Thursday
Kevin Gausman allowed one run and struck out 10 in six innings and picked up the win in the Blue Jays’ 9-1 victory over the Tigers on Thursday.

Advice: Gausman’s 10 strikeouts were a season-high. The win was his third in 10 starts this season. He allowed just three hits and two walks against the hapless Tigers offense. The 33-year-old right-hander is set to face the White Sox on the road next week. Rotoworld Thursday, 6:20 pm
  • Strikes out seven Thursday
Waldron allowed two runs on six hits and two walks while striking out seven over five innings in a no-decision versus the Reds on Thursday.

Advice: Waldron allowed a run in each of the first two innings before settling in. He's allowed a total of five runs over his last 16 innings while adding a 23:6 K:BB in that span. Waldron's overall numbers are still mediocre -- he has a 4.86 ERA, 1.44 WHIP and 52:19 K:BB through 50 innings across 10 starts -- but he's shown improvement and resilience after a tough outing versus Arizona to begin May. He's projected to make his next start at home in a favorable matchup versus the Marlins. Rotowire.com Thursday, 5:39 pm
  • Feltner tosses six shutout innings Thursday
Ryan Feltner threw six shutout innings, struck out six, and got a no-decision in the Rockies’ 10-9 loss to the Athletics on Thursday.

Advice: Feltner cruised through six innings against the Athletics and left the game with a 4-0 lead. The Rockies bullpen couldn’t hold that lead, though. Feltner has just one win in 10 starts this season and his ERA is now 5.07. The 27-year-old right-hander is set to face the Guardians at home next week.

  • Takes sixth loss
Heaney (0-6) took the loss Thursday against the Phillies, allowing four runs (three earned) on nine hits and two walks over 3.1 innings. He struck out one.

Advice: Heaney held the Phillies scoreless until J.T. Realmuto's leadoff homer in the third inning before they'd tack on three more runs in the fourth. It was ultimately another tough outing for the left-hander, who's failed to make it out of the fourth inning in consecutive starts. Heaney's ERA sits at 4.69 with a 1.38 WHIP and 45:13 K:BB across 10 starts (48 innings) this season. He'll be looking for his first win in his next outing, currently scheduled for next week against Arizona. Rotowire.com Thursday, 3:09 pm

  • Goes seven innings in win
Wheeler (6-3) earned the win Thursday over the Rangers, allowing two runs on five hits and two walks over seven innings. He struck out five.

Advice: After Adolis Garcia led off the second inning with a home run, Wheeler held the Rangers off the board until Ezequiel Duran's two-out RBI single in the seventh. It's the sixth win in Wheeler's last seven starts, and he's pitched at least seven innings in back-to-back outings and three of his last four. His ERA sits at 2.53 on the season with a 0.98 WHIP and 76:21 K:BB in 67.2 innings. Wheeler is currently lined up for a road matchup with the Giants in his next start. Rotowire.com Thursday, 2:57 pm
  • Falls to Yankees
Castillo (4-6) took the loss Thursday against the Yankees, allowing two runs on seven hits and three walks over five innings. He struck out three.

Advice: Castillo dealt with traffic for most of his outing, but he ultimately held New York to a pair of solo home runs. The loss snapped a stretch of seven straight quality starts for Castillo -- he'd posted a 2.01 ERA in that span. Overall, his ERA sits at 3.31 this season with a 1.21 WHIP and 69:18 K:BB over 65.1 innings. Castillo's currently lined up for a home matchup with the Astros in his next start.
