      Advice: Rengifo missed the last week and a half with a viral illness which resulted in painful blisters on his feet. He's recovered now, though, and should be back in the lineup when the Angels return to action Friday in Texas against the Rangers.       Bichette went 2-for-3 with a walk, a double and two RBI in Wednesday's loss to the Orioles.

      Advice: His two-run double in the third inning looked like it would be just enough offense to get the Jays the win, until Jordan Romano blew the save in the ninth. Bichette is finally catching fire at the plate, hitting safely in six straight games and batting .435 (10-for-23) over that stretch with a double, a homer, a steal, three runs and four RBI.       Advice: Jones received three plate appearances and played five innings in left field in his first game action since he landed on the 10-day injured list in late April with a low-back strain. He shouldn't need too many rehab games before being activated since he hasn't been sidelined for an extended period, but the Rockies haven't provided a firm target date for his return to the big club.     • Delivers five-out save Wednesday
      Munoz gave up a hit and struck out three over 1.2 scoreless innings Wednesday to record his seventh save of the season in a 4-2 win over the Royals.

      Advice: Austin Voth ran into trouble in the eighth inning, so Munoz got the call with runners on second and third and only one out to protect a 3-1 lead. The Mariners' closer did allow an inherited runner to score, but Seattle got the run right back in the bottom of the frame and Munoz dominated the ninth. It's the fourth time this season he's worked more than one inning to notch a save, and with Matt Brash (elbow) done for the year and Gregory Santos (lat) potentially not back until the All-Star break, Munoz may have to continue putting in extra work until Seattle settles on a new setup crew.       Tauchman went 2-for-5 with a solo home run in Wednesday's 7-1 win over Atlanta.

      Advice: Tauchman was effective from the leadoff spot as he delivered his fourth home run of the season and first since April 28. The veteran started in left field in this one with Ian Happ getting the night off, but the Cubs now have a crowded outfield that features Tauchman, Happ, Cody Bellinger, Seiya Suzuki and Pete Crow-Armstrong. This could push Tauchman to the bench on a frequent basis, though the team seems intent on getting him regular playing time, and he's earned it with a strong .821 OPS so far.     • Andrés Muñoz slams door on Royals on Wednesday
      Andrés Muñoz slammed the door on the Royals on Wednesday afternoon, recording the final five outs to protect a two-run lead and earn his seventh save of the season.

      Advice: The 25-year-old right-hander came on with runners at second and third with one out in the eighth inning and the Mariners leading 4-1. He did allow a run to score as Bobby Witt Jr. grounded out to second base, but then Muñoz punched out Vinnie Pasquantino to end the threat. He returned for the ninth where he allowed a leadoff double to Salvador Perez but nothing more — finishing the frame with a pair of strikeouts.
