      Advice: Manager Matt Quatraro said the Royals will wait to see how Massey's back responds to the treatment before determining when he will head to the minors for a rehab assignment.       Advice: Lindor suffered a swollen finger on a bunt attempt during a game Tuesday, but the issue hasn't caused him to miss any time and certainly didn't seem to impact his swing Thursday. The shortstop collected his second four-hit game of the season, which was highlighted by a 431-foot solo homer in the third inning. Lindor is still batting just .225 on the campaign, but he's hit safely in nine straight contests and has posted a .375 batting average, two homers, four doubles and six RBI over that span.       Francisco Lindor went 4-for-4 with a homer, two RBI and a stolen base in a 3-2 win Thursday over the Diamondbacks.

      Advice: Fantasy managers have to be thrilled seeing this one, as Lindor has been a massive disappointment a third of the way through 2024. The homer is the ninth of the season, and the stolen base gives the 30-year-old seven swipes through 2024. Lindor has gotten off to poor starts before only to finish hot, and there’s reason to believe that can happen again. It doesn’t make the previous two months any less frustrating, however.       Francisco Lindor went 1-for-4 with a run scored on Wednesday in the Mets’ loss to the Dodgers.

      Advice: Lindor showed zero ill effects, reaching base safely in two of his four plate appearances less than 24 hours after suffering a left index finger contusion during Tuesday’s doubleheader.       Advice: Gorman extended the Cardinals' lead to 2-0 with an RBI double in the fourth inning before launching a home run off left-hander Brent Suter in the eighth, his 10th long ball of the year and second in as many games. After a sluggish start to the year, Gorman's started to turn things around, going 8-for-21 (.380) with seven RBI in his last six contests.       Gonzales went 4-for-9 with a double, a home run, two runs scored and two RBI across both games of Wednesday's doubleheader split with the Tigers.

      Advice: The Pirates were blanked in the opener and managed only three hits in total off Tarik Skubal and the Detroit bullpen, but Gonzales had one of them. The 25-year-old second baseman really came to life in the second contest, as he launched a solo shot off Keider Montero in the fourth inning and was a key part of a 10-2 rout by Pittsburgh. Gonzales has hit safely in 13 of the last 15 games as he solidifies his spot in the Bucs' lineup, batting .328 (19-for-58) over that stretch with three homers, a steal, nine runs and 14 RBI. It's a good run of consistency at the plate for the infielder, who has struggled to put it all together at times this season. He's at a .214/.306/.428 slash line with nine long balls, 23 RBI, 21 runs scored and two steals through 47 contests overall while holding down a starting role at second base.       X-rays on Lindor's left index finger came back negative after he injured it on a bunt attempt during the first game of Tuesday's doubleheader against the Dodgers, Tim Healey of Newsday reports.

      Advice: Despite injuring his finger during the first game of Tuesday's action, Lindor was still able to play in the nightcap and go 1-for-4. The 30-year-old shortstop is dealing with a bit of swelling in his finger, but the Mets don't currently have a backup middle infielder on their 26-man roster -- complicating any plans to give Lindor time off to heal.
