      Craig Kimbrel picked up the save against the White Sox on Thursday.

      Advice: With the bases loaded and a five-run lead in the ninth inning, Orioles manager Brandon Hyde went to Yennier Cano for what was an unconventional save opportunity. Cano hit Andrew Vaughn and allowed a two run single to Gavin Sheets to make it a two-run game. After striking out Zach DeLoach, Cano was removed in favor of Kimbrel, who got Andrew Benintendi to pop into a double play. Judge has been on a tear this month, going 27-for-63 (.429) with nine homers and 17 RBI in his last 19 games.       Aaron Judge hit a solo homer in a 5-0 win over the Mariners on Thursday.

      Advice: Judge also walked twice and scored after one of those free passes. The slugger slaughtered a Luis Castillo offering for his 15th homer of the season and it gave New York a 2-0 lead.       Irvin will re-enter the Orioles' rotation following the injury to John Means (forearm), Matt Weyrich of The Baltimore Sun reports.

      Advice: Each of Irvin's last two appearances have come in relief, but he's been terrific in seven starts this season, collecting a 2.90 ERA and 28:8 K:BB over 40.1 innings of work.
