    • Taking seat Sunday
Schneider is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Athletics.

Advice: Schneider started the previous 14 games but will sit Sunday amid a 3-for-23 slump. Spencer Horwitz will step in at second base and bat leadoff in the series finale at Oakland. Rotowire.com Sunday, 11:19 am

    • Davis Schneider getting Sunday off vs. Athletics
Davis Schneider is not in the starting lineup for Sunday’s game against the Athletics.

Advice: Schneider gets a day of rest against Mitch Spence and the Oakland staff. In his place, Spencer Horwitz will not only get the start at second base, but hit at the top of the Toronto lineup. Rotoworld Sunday, 10:15 am

    • Returning to action Sunday
Marte (back) is starting at second base and batting second Sunday against the Padres.

Advice: The 30-year-old was scratched from Saturday's starting nine due to lower-back soreness but will end up sitting just one game. Marte is 11-for-26 with three homers, six RBI and a 4:7 BB:K through seven games in June, which has boosted his OPS for the season to .848. Rotowire.com Sunday, 10:02 am

    • Marte, Moreno back in lineup for Diamondbacks
Ketel Marte (back) is hitting second and playing second base Sunday against the Padres.

Advice: Marte and Gabriel Moreno (illness) are both back in the lineup for the D-Backs for their series finale against the Padres. Marte will handle the keystone with Moreno starting behind the plate and hitting eighth against Adam Mazur and the San Diego pitching staff. Rotoworld Sunday, 9:56 am

    • Notches steal Saturday
Altuve went 2-for-5 with one RBI, a stolen base and one run scored in Saturday's 6-1 win over the Angels.

Advice: Altuve has been steady but not outstanding over his last 15 games, going 17-for-61 (.279) with two steals, four RBI and five runs scored in that span. He hasn't homered since May 20, taking a bit of the wind out of his sails after a strong start to the year in the power department. Overall, the second baseman is slashing .288/.340/.436 with nine homers, nine steals, 22 RBI and 37 runs scored over 64 contests. Rotowire.com Saturday, 10:34 pm

    • Battling back soreness
Marte was scratched from Arizona's lineup Saturday due to lower-back soreness, Jody Jackson of Bally Sports Arizona reports.

Advice: Marte appeared to tweak something in his back during Friday's contest, and he'll sit down Saturday as a precaution. He is available off the bench, however, so his injury likely isn't a major issue. Blaze Alexander will start at second base and bat sixth. Rotowire.com Saturday, 2:43 pm

    • Scratched from lineup
Marte (undisclosed) was scratched from Arizona's lineup ahead of Saturday's game versus the Padres.

Advice: The Diamondbacks have not yet provided a reason for Marte's removal from the lineup, but they should offer some clarity relatively soon. Blaze Alexander will enter as the replacement second baseman while batting sixth. Rotowire.com Saturday, 1:27 pm

    • Ketel Marte (back) scratched from D’Backs’ lineup
Ketel Marte (back) was scratched from the Diamondbacks’ starting lineup for Saturday’s showdown against the Padres.

Advice: Marte appeared to tweak his back during his final at-bat on Friday night and that seems to be the reason that he was scratched from Saturday’s lineup. The fact that he was in the initial lineup is at least encouraging though, so he should be considered day-to-day until we hear otherwise. Rotoworld Saturday, 1:27 pm

    • Ketel Marte crushes 13th homer in blowout loss
Ketel Marte walloped a two-run homer on Friday in the Diamondbacks’ one-sided loss at the hands of the Padres.

Advice: Marte broke up a potential shutout with a seventh-inning blast off Padres reliever Wandy Peralta for his 13th big fly of the season. The 30-year-old second baseman has been a model of consistency in an otherwise turbulent campaign for the defending National League champions this season, batting .282 with 41 runs scored, 13 homers, 35 RBI and one steal through 63 games. Unfortunately, the stolen bases probably aren’t ever coming back to his early-career level, but he remains a reliable four-category fantasy contributor at the keystone in the prime of his career.
