    • Absent from lineup
Langeliers isn't in the lineup for Thursday's game against the Mariners.

Advice: Langeliers has received more days off than usual of late, as he's now started just three of the last six games for the Athletics. He doesn't appear to be dealing with any sort of injury, however. Kyle McCann will get the start at catcher for Oakland on Thursday. Rotowire.com Today, 9:58 am
    • Triple, home run in win
Duran went 2-for-5 with a solo home run, a triple and an additional run scored in Wednesday's 9-0 win over Atlanta.

Advice: Duran legged out his league-leading ninth triple in the fifth inning before putting the final touch on Boston's convincing victory with a solo homer off Jimmy Herget in the eighth, extending the lead to 9-0. Duran now has three multi-hit efforts in his last four contests after going just 2-for-28 in his previous seven games. Overall, the 27-year-old outfielder is slashing .261/.326/.447 with four homers, 36 runs scored, 25 RBI and 11 stolen bases across 62 games this year. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 2:27 pm
    • Jarren Duran homers, triples against Braves
Jarred Duran collected his ninth triple and fourth homer Wednesday against the Braves.

Advice: Duran hasn’t been quite as good as hoped for fantasy purposes, especially after the Red Sox decided to rein him in on the basepaths, but there still could be more in store here. He’s at .261/.326/.447 to date, and he’s up to 11th in the AL with 36 runs scored. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:25 pm
    • Set to return to lineup Friday
Burger said that he's not dealing with any soreness or pain in his intercostal muscle, but he's out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Rays as a matter of caution, Noah Berger of ElExtraBase.com reports.

Advice: Burger was on the injured list from April 15 through May 6 with a left intercostal strain, and he appeared to tweak the muscle on a swing during Tuesday's 9-5 loss. He was able to stay in the game, and Burger's condition hasn't seemed to have taken a turn for the worse heading into Wednesday's series finale. However, with a team off day Thursday, both Burger and manager Skip Schumaker agreed that it was for the best for the third baseman to get a two-day break by exiting the lineup Wednesday. Burger is fully expected to be back in the starting nine Friday versus the Guardians. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 12:58 pm

    • Jake Burger (oblique) takes day off as precaution
Jake Burger is getting Wednesday off after tweaking his oblique on a swing during Tuesday’s game.

Advice: Burger said he felt fine today and that this is just a precaution. He was sidelined from April 14 to May 5 after straining his left oblique. Expectations are that he’ll be in Friday’s lineup after the off day tomorrow. Rotoworld Yesterday, 12:34 pm

    • Aims for return around July 1
Casas (ribs) said Wednesday in an interview with NESN that he should be cleared to swing a bat before the end of the week.

Advice: Casas noted earlier this week that he's still experiencing some discomfort in his ribs when he rotates, but the 24-year-old expects to progress enough in the coming days to try swinging a bat. The first baseman still has several hurdles to clear in the recovery process before being ready for game action, but he said in his interview that he's hoping to be activated from the 60-day injured list "right around July 1." • Triston Casas hoping to return around July 1
Triston Casas thinks he could return from his oblique strain right around July 1.

Advice: Casas has yet to resume swinging, but that could happen within the next few days. Obviously, that’ll be the real test before any sort of official timetable comes down. Rotoworld Yesterday, 12:10 pm

    • Not starting, could be hurt
Burger is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Rays.

Advice: While Burger was likely overdue for a day off after making 17 consecutive starts dating back to May 15, his absence from the lineup Wednesday could be the result of an injury. As Christina De Nicola of MLB.com points out, Burger looked to have tweaked an intercostal muscle on a swing during Tuesday's 9-5 loss, though he stayed in the game after telling manager Skip Schumaker that he was fine. Burger was previously on the injured list from April 15 through May 6 with an intercostal strain, so fantasy managers will likely want to keep close tabs on his status heading into the Marlins' series versus the Guardians this weekend. • Still not swinging bat
Casas (ribs) still experiences pain when rotating and has not yet begun swinging a bat, Julian McWilliams of The Boston Globe reports.

Advice: Casas has been taking grounders and hitting the weight room, but that he's not yet swinging a bat suggests he may not return June 21, the earliest he can be activated off the 60-day injured list. "Whenever he feels better about it and he doesn't feel pain, then [swinging] is the next step," manager Alex Cora said. "It's not about treatment or whatever. It just kind of had to heal on its own." While Casas has been sidelined, the Red Sox are getting by with Dominic Smith and Garrett Cooper at first base. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 5:05 am
