    • Will Smith delivers in 10th as Dodgers down Giants
Will Smith delivered a two-run double in the top of the 10th to propel the Dodgers past the Giants 6-4 on Monday.

Advice: It was his second hit of the game. Smith hit .258., 260 and .261 the last three years, but he’s at .309 right now, and he has the exit velocity numbers to somewhat back it up. He’ll probably fade as the foul tips and other catching maladies pile up, but he’s been one of the NL’s best players to date. Rotoworld Yesterday, 10:42 pm
    • Clubs homer Monday
Profar went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run and a walk in Monday's 5-4 loss to the Rockies.

Advice: Profar has hit safely in eight of 11 games in May, going 13-for-40 (.325) with three homers and 10 RBI this month. The 31-year-old is slashing .320/.402/.517 with seven long balls, 29 RBI, 23 runs scored, eight doubles and two stolen bases over 44 contests. Profar's best season in the majors was the abbreviated 2020 campaign, and he hit just nine homers with 46 RBI over 125 games last year -- he'll likely post stronger marks in 2024, but his current pace will be tough to sustain. • Locks up eighth save
Alvarado picked up the save Monday against the Mets. He pitched a clean inning with no strikeouts.

Advice: Alvarado collected his first save since May 5 on Monday night, requiring just nine pitches to retire the Mets in the tenth inning. Outside of yielding five runs on Opening Day, the 28-year-old lefty has been a stalwart, firing a 1.06 ERA, 0.76 WHIP and 15:5 K:BB over 17 innings since then. Alvarado will continue to split saves with the rest of the talented Phillies bullpen but should collect the bulk of opportunities. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:13 pm
    • José Alvarado collects eighth save on Monday
José Alvarado tossed a scoreless 10th inning on Monday against the Mets to notch his eighth save of the season.

Advice: Alvarado got the call to guard a one-run lead in the 10th inning after the Phillies finally pulled ahead and needed just nine pitches (seven strikes) to end it. The hard-throwing 28-year-old stopper has converted all eight of his save chances this season to go along with a solid 3.57 ERA, 1.02 WHIP and 16/7 K/BB ratio across 17 2/3 innings (19 appearances). • Earns win in extras
Romano (1-0) earned the win Monday, walking one and striking out one over two scoreless innings of relief against the Orioles.

Advice: Romano entered a tie game in the ninth, needing just nine pitches to complete the frame, then unofficially saved his own victory after the Blue Jays plated a run in the top of the 10th. It was the 10th appearance of the season for the Toronto closer, who had converted on all six of his save opportunities prior to earning his first victory Monday. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:11 pm
    • Adley Rutschman crushes two homers in O’s loss
Adley Rutschman clobbered a pair of solo homers on Monday in the Orioles’ loss to the Blue Jays.

Advice: Rutschman took Blue Jays starter José Berríos deep in the fourth and sixth innings to record the first multi-homer performance of his young career. The 26-year-old franchise cornerstone, who has gone deep in back-to-back contests, is batting .309/.343/.491 with 23 runs scored, eight homers, 25 RBI and one steal through 175 plate appearances this season. • Two-homer day
Rutschman went 2-for-4 with two solo home runs Monday against the Blue Jays.

Advice: Rutschman hit both blasts off Blue Jays starter Jose Berrios, giving him eight on the season and three over the last two games. The third-year star is now slashing .309/.343/.491 with 25 RBI and 23 runs to go along with the eight home runs. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 6:53 pm
    • Sitting against righty again
Nevin is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Astros.

Advice: Nevin is on the bench for the fourth time in seven games, with each of those absences coming against right-handed pitching. With both Brett Harris and Tyler Soderstrom having settled into everyday roles at the corner-infield spots, the right-handed-hitting Nevin looks like he'll be limited to short-side platoon duties for the time being. • Goes yard
Rutschman went 1-for-4 with a solo homer during Sunday's 9-2 loss to the Diamondbacks.

Advice: Rutschman notched his sixth long ball of the campaign, tagging Zac Gallen for a solo home run in the sixth inning. After seeing his batting average jump from .254 to .277 last season, Rutschman has taken another step forward at the plate in 2024, slashing .304/.339/.453 with 23 RBI and 21 runs scored across 38 games.
