      Athletics placed Paul Blackburn (foot) on 10-day IL retroactive to May 11th.

      Advice: Blackburn has a stress reaction in the fifth metatarsal of his right foot. The 30-year-old has a 4.11 ERA and 1.15 WHIP in eight starts while registering 36 strikeouts and 13 walks in 46 innings. There’s no set timeline yet for how long he’ll be out, but his right foot handles all his body weight during his leg lift on his windup, so he’ll need to make sure it’s fully healed before he returns to the mound.       A.J. Minter suffered a blown save on Sunday night, serving up a walk-off two run homer to Brandon Nimmo in a loss to the Mets.

      Advice: Minter — who was called upon with Raisel Iglesias unavailable — allowed Jeff McNeil to reach on a bunt single to start the inning. After a successful sacrifice by Tomas Nido, Nimmo clobbered the game-winning blast to spoil the Braves’ bid for a sweep. Perhaps the 27-year-old is trying to do too much in his contract season, but he’s been making more contact recently so it’s best to hold onto him in fantasy leagues because he’s too talented a hitter to keep performing at this level all season.
