      Advice: For the second straight night, Minter received the call for the save but was able to escape Monday unlike Sunday evening. Minter allowed Cody Bellinger to reach via an infield single and walked Christopher Morel before securing three outs to finish the game. Raisel Iglesias, who threw 48 pitches over back-to-back outings on Thursday and Friday, was likely slated for additional rest and should retain his closer role over Minter in Atlanta.       A.J. Minter suffered a blown save on Sunday night, serving up a walk-off two run homer to Brandon Nimmo in a loss to the Mets.

      Advice: Minter — who was called upon with Raisel Iglesias unavailable — allowed Jeff McNeil to reach on a bunt single to start the inning. After a successful sacrifice by Tomas Nido, Nimmo clobbered the game-winning blast to spoil the Braves’ bid for a sweep.       Robertson (2-1) had a blown save and was the losing pitcher in Saturday's 8-3 loss to the Rockies. The reliever failed to record an out and was charged with four runs on two hits, a walk and a hit batter.

      Advice: The usually reliable Robertson entered with the Rangers holding a 3-2 lead, a runner on second base and two outs. As rain began to fall, he yielded a run-scoring single to the first batter he faced. After a wild pitch, another RBI single, a hit batsman and a walk, Robertson was removed with the bases loaded.       Devin Williams (back) is scheduled to begin playing catch in two weeks.

      Advice: Williams opened the season on the injured list recovering from a pair of stress fractures in his back and isn’t expected to return to Milwaukee’s closer role until around midseason. The 29-year-old All-Star stopper should kick off his throwing program in a few weeks, if not sooner, and be ready to progress to bullpen sessions at some point in June before starting a minor league rehab assignment.     • Escapes with fifth save
      Jax gave up a run on two hits and a walk in the ninth inning Friday while striking out one, recording his fifth save of the season in a 3-2 win over the Blue Jays.

      Advice: Jhoan Duran got the call in the eighth inning to face the top of Toronto's order, leaving the ninth for Jax, but Jax ran into trouble with two outs after a Bo Bichette single kicked off a Jays rally. Twins manager Rocco Baldelli has been using Duran as a relief ace rather than a pure closer and Duran has three saves and three holds in six appearances since coming off the IL in late April, but Jax hasn't been the sole beneficiary of the available opportunities -- Caleb Thielbar and Cole Sands have also picked up saves since Duran's season debut. Brock Stewart (shoulder) could also end up in that mix once he gets healthy. Jax has a 3.06 ERA, 1.13 WHIP and 23:7 K:BB through 17.2 innings on the season, and while Duran should see the majority of the save chances for the Twins, his main understudy could creep into the low double digits in saves by the time the season is done.       Griffin Jax recorded his fifth save despite giving up a run in the ninth to the Blue Jays on Friday.

      Advice: The Twins again opted to give Jhoan Duran what looked like the tougher assignment in the eighth. Jax came in with a two-run lead in the ninth and allowed a walk and two singles before finishing off the Blue Jays.       Manager Pat Murphy said Friday that Williams (back) is scheduled to begin playing catch within the next two weeks, Curt Hogg of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

      Advice: Williams will be looked at by a doctor within the next few days, which will help determine how far away he is from beginning a throwing program.       Clase (2-1) earned the extra-inning win Wednesday over the Tigers, striking out one without allowing a hit or a walk in a scoreless inning.

      Advice: Clase was sharp in the 10th inning despite a fielder's choice and a wild pitch, and the Guardians completed their comeback on a walk-off Brayan Rocchio single in the bottom of the frame. This outing extended Clase's scoreless streak to five innings, and he's gone 12.1 innings without giving up an earned run.
