    • Makes splash in Saturday's win
Cruz went 1-for-3 with a walk, a solo home run and a second run scored in Saturday's 4-3 win over the Rays.

Advice: He destroyed the first pitch he saw from Zach Eflin in the first inning, sending the 78.2 mph curveball out of the stadium to right field and straight into the Allegheny River. Per Adam Berry and Justice delos Santos of MLB.com, it's just the sixth time since PNC Park opened that a ball has been hit into the river on the fly. Despite his prodigious physical tools, Cruz is still having trouble producing consistently for the Pirates, but he has stepped things up this month. Through 16 games in June, the 25-year-old is slashing .250/.283/.464 with three homers, one steal, 11 runs and 11 RBI. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 6:18 am

    • Belts two-run blast
Steer went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in a loss to Boston on Saturday.

Advice: Steer gave the Reds an early lead with his two-run shot to left field in the first inning. It was his ninth long ball of the season and his third through 19 contests in June. Steer is slashing .234/.326/.401 with 45 RBI, 33 runs and 12 stolen bases on the campaign. Rotowire.com Saturday, 11:09 pm

    • Cruz blasts 10th home run in win Saturday
Oneil Cruz went 1-for-3 with two runs scored, a walk and a solo home run against the Rays on Saturday.

Advice: Cruz’ home run was his 10th of the year. The solo shot came against Rays starter Zach Eflin in the first inning with two outs. It was Cruz’ first home run since June 8th. While he hits the ball hard when he connects, Cruz’ 32 percent strikeout percentage is still quite high. Maybe he’ll get his power stroke going in the second half of the year to help prop up all the strikeouts.

    • Oneil Cruz homers, scores twice in win over Rays
Oneil Cruz homered and scored two runs in a 4-2 win for the Pirates on Saturday.

Advice: Cruz obliterated a Zack Eflin pitch for a 445-foot dinger to tie the game at 1-1 in the first. The 25-year-old also drew a walk and came around to score a few batters later. There are going to be ups and downs with Cruz, but the power is obviously legitimate, and helps mitigate some of the contact issues. Rotoworld Saturday, 3:16 pm

    • Snaps hitless run in big way
Semien went 1-for-4 with a double and three RBI in Friday's 6-2 win over the Royals.

Advice: Semien provided the big hit of the game with a bases-clearing double in the sixth inning to give Texas a lead it would not relinquish. The double snapped a hitless run of 17 at-bats. Semien, the Rangers' leadoff hitter, leads the team with 43 RBI through 74 games. Rotowire.com Saturday, 6:23 am

    • Marcus Semien plates three runs to lead Rangers
Marcus Semien delivered a bases-clearing three-run double in the sixth inning on Friday night, propelling the Rangers to a 6-2 victory over the visiting Royals.

Advice: The Rangers had just taken the lead as Jonah Heim plated a run with a fielder’s choice. Semien then followed by smacking a two-out, three-run double off of Sammy Long to break the game wide open. It was the only hit of the game in four at-bats for Semien, but it proved to be the difference-maker. On the season, the 33-year-old infielder is now hitting .252/.319/.419 with 11 homers, 43 RBI and three stolen bases. Rotoworld Friday, 7:50 pm

    • Bryson Stott sits against southpaw on Friday night
Bryson Stott is not in the Phillies’ starting lineup for Friday night’s showdown against the Diamondbacks.

Advice: With left-hander Jordan Montgomery toeing the slab for the Diamondbacks, the Phillies will use it as an opportunity to give Stott a breather. Fellow left-handed hitters Brandon Marsh, David Dahl and Garrett Stubbs also find themselves on the pine for the start of this one. Edmundo Sosa will start in Stott’s place at second base and will bat sixth for the Phillies on Friday night. Rotoworld Friday, 1:02 pm

    • Oneil Cruz sitting against lefty on Tuesday
Oneil Cruz is not in the lineup for Tuesday’s game against the Reds.

Advice: Cruz, who has been dealing with a sore ankle over the last few days, will take a seat to open Tuesday’s contest with lefty Nick Lodolo toeing the rubber for Cincinnati. The 25-year-old shortstop boasts a .734 OPS with nine homers and five steals in 262 plate appearances over 64 games so far. Rotoworld Tuesday, 12:57 pm

    • Out versus southpaw
Cruz is not in the lineup for Tuesday's contest versus the Reds.

Advice: The left-handed hitting Cruz will begin this one on the bench as the Reds send southpaw Nick Lodolo to the hill. Jared Triolo is getting the start at shortstop for the Pirates. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 12:19 pm
