    • Estrada hits solo homer in loss to Reds
Thairo Estrada hit a solo homer in a loss Friday to the Giants.

    • Sharp in season debut
Bradley (0-1) took the loss Friday against the Yankees, allowing one run on four hits and two walks over six innings. He struck out seven.

Advice: Bradley was excellent in his first start since suffering a pectoral strain in spring training, holding the Yankees to a lone run on an Anthony Rizzo two-out RBI single in the fourth. However, the right-hander was stuck with the loss as the Rays failed to get anything going offensively in the 2-0 defeat. Bradley made 21 starts for Tampa Bay last year, going 5-8 with a 5.59 ERA. He's currently slated to face the Red Sox on the road in his next outing. Rotowire.com 51 minutes ago

    • Scores thrice in win
Contreras went 1-for-3 with two walks and three runs scored in Friday's win over the Cardinals.

Advice: Contreras was the offensive catalyst for the Brewers on Friday night as he crossed the plate a team-high three times. He also collected his third multi-walk game of the season, which may become a more common occurrence given his breakout season. The 26-year-old catcher is slashing .340/.420/.520 with five homers, 30 RBI and 35 runs scored over 174 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Today, 8:58 pm

    • Takes fourth loss
Jones (2-4) took the loss Friday against the Cubs, allowing three runs (two earned) on seven hits and two walks over six innings. He struck out four.

Advice: Jones allowed a solo homer to Cody Bellinger in the first inning before the Cubs tacked on runs in the fifth and sixth. The 22-year-old Jones has yet to allow more than three runs in a start this season -- his ERA sits at 2.68 with a 0.87 WHIP and 56:7 K:BB across 47 innings in his rookie campaign. Jones is currently lined up for a rematch with Chicago on the road in his next start. Rotowire.com Today, 8:50 pm

    • Brandon Pfaadt goes without a strikeout in loss
Brandon Pfaadt dropped to 1-3 after allowing three runs in six innings Friday against the Orioles.

Advice: Pfaadt managed to turn in a solid outing despite going without a strikeout tonight. He had never fanned fewer than three batters in 26 major league starts. Pfaadt’s ERA stands at 4.60. His 42/8 K/BB ratio in 47 innings is nice, but he’s looking a little too hittable with his velocity down one mph from last year. Rotoworld Today, 8:32 pm

    • Corey Seager homers, drives in two vs. Rockies
Corey Seager homered and drove in two runs in a loss to the Rockies on Friday.

Advice: Seager got the Rangers on the board with a homer, and he drove in another run with a bases-loaded walk that tied the game at 2-2. Things are starting to pick up for the 30-year-old star, but his .239/.314/.345 slash is obviously one of the more disappointing developments of the (early) 2024 campaign. Rotoworld Today, 8:05 pm

    • Notches fifth save
Hader earned the save in Friday's 5-2 win over the Tigers, working around a walk while striking out two in a scoreless inning.

Advice: Hader's allowed just one earned run in his last 7.1 innings while improving to 5-for-6 in save chances. After a shaky start to the year, the left-hander's lowered his ERA to 5.29 with a 1.35 WHIP and 27:8 K:BB across 17 innings. Rotowire.com Today, 7:52 pm

    • Jared Jones turns in quality start in loss
Jared Jones yielded three runs — two earned — in six innings Friday in a loss to the Cubs.

Advice: The unearned run was the product of Yasmani Grandal losing the ball on the tag on what should have been a very nice play to get Nico Hoerner at home. It’s rare to see errors called on such things, but Grandal had plenty of time to get the tag down after a fantastic relay from Oneil Cruz and just botched it. Jones finished with just four strikeouts tonight despite getting 18 whiffs. Part of the problem was that he had only nine called strikes on his 87 pitches. He’s now 2-4, even though his ERA stands at 2.68. Rotoworld Today, 7:46 pm

    • Taj Bradley strikes out seven in loss to Yankees
Taj Bradley was outstanding in a tough-luck loss against the Yankees on Friday night, surrendering one run on four hits over six stellar innings of work.

Advice: The 23-year-old right-hander racked up seven strikeouts and issued only two walks in his 2024 season debut. The only blemish on his day came in the form of an RBI single off the bat of Anthony Rizzo in the fourth inning. Unfortunately for him, the Rays couldn’t muster a single run of support for him. Bradley got 11 swings and misses on 93 pitches on the night — at least two on each of his four offerings — while posting a CSW of 30 percent. He needs to be rostered and started in all formats for next week’s matchup against the Red Sox in Boston on Wednesday. Rotoworld Today, 6:32 pm
