    • Idle Friday
Cabrera is out of the lineup Friday against Tampa Bay.

Advice: Cabrera will give up third base duties to Jon Berti on Friday, who will bat ninth against the Rays. In 130 plate appearances, Cabrera is slashing .256/.300/.397 with four homers and two stolen bases. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 12:50 pm

    • Provides lone run in loss
Nootbaar went 1-for-5 with a solo home run in Thursday's 7-1 loss to the Brewers.

Advice: Nootbaar has homered in each of the last two games, but he's batting just .184 (7-for-38) with five extra-base hits over his last 10 contests. The outfielder is up to three homers through 24 contests on the year, with the recent increase in power helping to make up for an overall lack of success at the plate. He's slashing .184/.290/.356 with nine RBI, eight runs scored, six doubles and two stolen bases through 101 plate appearances. Nootbaar continues to split time between left field and right field depending on where Brendan Donovan plays. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:55 am

    • Two RBI in loss
Steer went 1-for-3 with a walk and two RBI in Thursday's 5-4 loss to Arizona.

Advice: Steer delivered two runs on a two-out single in the bottom of the seventh inning to tie the game before the Diamondbacks went ahead an inning later. He continues to produce with runners in scoring position, posting a .359 batting average and 1.022 OPS in such situations. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 5:44 am

    • Lars Nootbaar homers in second straight contest
Lars Nootbaar drilled a solo homer on Thursday in the Cardinals’ loss to the Brewers.

Advice: Nootbaar went deep for the second straight contest during Thursday’s one-sided affair at American Family Field, taking Brewers starter Tobias Myers out to center field in the third inning for his third long ball of the season. The 26-year-old corner outfielder is batting just .186 (16-for-87) through 24 contests since returning from the injured list. Rotoworld Thursday, 8:24 pm

    • Stays hot in twin bill
Rooker went 5-for-9 with a walk, two doubles, a home run, four runs scored and three RBI across both games of Wednesday's doubleheader split with the Rangers.

Advice: The 29-year-old did most of his damage in the matinee, slugging a three-run homer in the seventh inning off Cole Winn. Rooker has hit safely in six of the last seven games, batting .462 (12-for-26) with three doubles, four long balls, 10 runs, 11 RBI and a strong 5:5 BB:K. After a breakout 2023, Rooker might be finding another level this season -- through 27 contests, he's slashing .277/.370/.628 with nine homers and 24 RBI. Rotowire.com Thursday, 6:39 am

    • Mashes two homers in win
Ozuna went 2-for-3 with two home runs and four RBI in Wednesday's win over the Red Sox.

Advice: Ozuna jumped on a hanging four-seamer from Nick Pivetta in the bottom of the first and launched it into the stands in right field for a three-run shot to put Atlanta on the board. The veteran slugger followed up with another long ball in the third, this time a solo shot on the first pitch he saw, giving him a league-leading 12 home runs on the season. Ozuna also leads the major leagues in RBI with 38 and has now driven in at least one run in three straight games. Rotowire.com Thursday, 3:56 am

    • Ozuna crushes two more home runs
Marcell Ozuna went 2-for-3 with two home runs, four RBI and a walk in the victory over the Red Sox on Wednesday.

Advice: Ozuna passed Shohei Ohtani for the league lead in home runs with 12 and also leads the league in RBI with 38. He’s also hitting .315 with a 1.042 OPS. Ozuna has carried the Braves offense so far this season. It’s a scary thought that Ozuna’s numbers could be even better if some of the hitters in front of him in the lineup like Ronald Acuña Jr. and Matt Olson were playing to their typical level of production. • Brent Rooker swats three-run homer in A’s win
Brent Rooker went 3-for-4 with a three-run homer in the first game of Wednesday’s doubleheader against the Rangers.

Advice: Rooker finished off a three-hit effort with a towering 427-foot blast -- his ninth round-tripper of the season -- to straightaway center field in the seventh inning to cap off Oakland’s nine-run offensive explosion in the front-end of Wednesday’s twin bill. • Homers in Tuesday's loss
Nootbaar went 1-for-2 with a solo homer, three walks and two runs scored in Tuesday's loss to the Mets.

Advice: Nootbaar supplied a late home run in the ninth off Adam Ottavino to bring the Cardinals within two runs. It was his first long ball since his season debut April 12. His eye at the plate was magnificent, as he drew three walks for the first time since Sept. 15 after having walked just twice since April 20 entering Tuesday's game. The 26-year-old has yet to find a groove at the dish thus far, slashing only .183/.295/.329 with eight extra-base hits, eight RBI, seven runs and a 13:17 BB:K in 96 plate appearances.
