    • Reaches 20 homers
Ozuna went 3-for-5 with a two-run home run and an additional run against Tampa Bay in Saturday's 9-2 victory.

Advice: Ozuna hit one of three Atlanta homers in the fifth inning, cracking a two-run shot to center field. The long ball was Ozuna's 20th of the campaign, third-most in the majors. He's reached 20 homers in a season eight times in his career, including in each of the past three campaigns. Rotowire.com 10 minutes ago

    • Marcell Ozuna has 3 hits, HR in win
Marcell Ozuna went 3-for-5 with a home run and two RBI in a 9-2 win over the Rays on Saturday.

Advice: Another game of Ozuna showing up as the best player for Atlanta. The 33-year-old now has 20 home runs and 62 RBI on the season in what has been a pretty spectacular start to the year. The only downside for fantasy is that he is not eligible at a position in many formats. Everything else has been superb. Rotoworld Today, 7:20 pm

    • Laces triple in loss
Rooker went 1-for-5 with an RBI triple in an extra-inning loss to the Twins on Friday.

Advice: Rooker's seventh-inning three-bagger plated JJ Bleday to snap a 4-4 tie, giving the Athletics a temporary reprieve after they'd blown an early 4-0 lead. The triple was Rooker's second of the season -- a new career high -- and marked his first extra-base hit since June 4. The veteran outfielder has now hit safely in five of his last seven games, but he's also carrying a .172 average and 43.3 percent strikeout rate across the 30 plate appearances he's logged in that span. • Marcell Ozuna crushes 19th home run in win
Marcell Ozuna went 1-for-4 with a three-run homer, walk, and two runs scored against the Rays on Friday.

Advice: Ozuna got the Braves going early, taking Zack Littell deep to the opposite field in the first inning and Atlanta wouldn’t look back. Ozuna tied Kyle Tucker for third in the league with 19 home runs and has been one of the best offensive players in baseball so far this season. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:03 pm

    • Heading to bench Thursday
Joe is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Cardinals.

Advice: Joe will take a seat for the series finale along with two of the other Pirates' everyday players in Andrew McCutchen and Nick Gonzales. Though he's been one of the Pirates' better hitters for much of the season, Joe has fallen into a 2-for-27 skid at the plate over his last eight games. Rotowire.com Thursday, 9:37 am

    • Getting day off amid slump
Rooker is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Padres.

Advice: Rooker will cede designated hitter duties to JJ Bleday and get a breather for the series finale after he had started in each of the Athletics' last 14 games. During that stretch, Rooker slashed just .196/.281/.392 with a 40.4 percent strikeout rate, so the day off could prove beneficial while he's in the midst of a slump at the dish. • Brent Rooker out of the lineup amidst slump
Brent Rooker is not in the Athletics’ lineup on Wednesday against the Padres.

Advice: Rooker is a notoriously streaky hitter, and things have not been going well for him over the last three weeks. The slugger is hitting .212/.316/.394 over his last 18 games with two home runs, eight RBI, and a 39.5 percent strikeout rate. We’ve seen Rooker go through these prolonged slumps in the past due to his low contact rate, so it might be safe to treat him as a streamer in shallower formats and see if you can roster a hitter trending in the right direction. Daz Cameron will start in center field and take Rooker’s place in the lineup on Wednesday. Rotoworld Wednesday, 12:25 pm

    • Logs steal in loss
Steer went 1-for-4 with a stolen base and an RBI in Tuesday's 5-3 loss to Cleveland.

Advice: Steer recorded his 12th steal in 65 games, putting him on pace to surpass the 15 he had over 156 games in 2023. Speed was not a hallmark to his game in the minors, but the running Reds have changed that. On an unrelated note, the team received news that first baseman Christian Encarnacion-Strand is mulling season-ending wrist surgery. That means Steer, who has been the primary fill-in for Encarnacion-Strand in recent weeks, may continue on as Cincinnati's regular at first base. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 3:54 am

    • Jordan Walker posts three hits, homers at Triple-A
Jordan Walker went 3-for-5 with a solo homer on Tuesday for Triple-A Memphis.

Advice: Walker hasn’t hit for a ton of over-the-fence power as Tuesday’s round-tripper was just his second of the season, but he’s batting .273 (38-for-139) with 13 extra-base hits and three steals across 34 contests for Triple-A Memphis. There is no timetable for the 22-year-old top prospect to return to the majors, but he followed a similar trajectory last season when he excelled at the highest level following an early-season demotion.
