    • Ready for rehab assignment
Kremer (triceps) threw a bullpen session Thursday without issues and could begin a minor-league rehab assignment this weekend, Sam Cohn of The Baltimore Sun reports.

Advice: Orioles manager Brandon Hyde said a decision hasn't been made regarding which affiliate Kremer will join and which day he might pitch, but the right-hander is seemingly coming along well in his recovery from a triceps strain in any case. After being placed on the 15-day injured list May 24, Kremer may need only one rehab outing to get stretched back out before he rejoins the Baltimore rotation. Rotowire.com Thursday, 9:58 am

    • Dean Kremer (triceps) throws side session
Dean Kremer threw a side session Thursday and will likely soon begin a rehab assignment.

Advice: The Orioles were considering bringing Kremer back from a triceps strain without a rehab assignment, but it appears he’ll make a minor league start this weekend and then probably rejoin the Orioles next weekend. That opens the door for Cade Povich to perhaps get a start next week against the Yankees. Rotoworld Thursday, 9:08 am

    • Collects another win
Suarez (4-0) picked up the win in Wednesday's 5-4 victory over the A's, giving up a hit in a scoreless ninth inning and striking out one.

Advice: For the second straight game, Suarez benefited from a Padres walk-off homer, with Wednesday's coming off the bat of Jackson Merrill. The right-hander has been tagged for a run in only one of his 26 appearances since the beginning of April, and on the season Suarez sports a sparkling 0.61 ERA, 0.68 WHIP and 28:6 K:BB through 29.1 innings. • Close call in ninth save
Yates allowed a run on two hits and a walk over one inning to earn the save in Wednesday's 3-2 win over the Dodgers.

Advice: Yates wasn't sharp in the ninth inning, putting runners on first and second with two outs. Jason Heyward doubled to center field to knock in one run, but Andy Pages ignored a stop sign at third base and the relay throw from Marcus Semien to Jonah Heim was in time to get the final out at the plate. Prior to Wednesday, Yates was on a six-inning scoreless streak dating back to May 15, though he had just one save in that span due to the Rangers' generally poor play. For the season, he's at a 1.16 ERA, 0.90 WHIP and 29:11 K:BB through 23.1 innings while adding nine saves and two holds. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 10:52 pm

    • Goes three innings Wednesday
Gray allowed a run on four hits and a walk while striking out three over three innings in a no-decision versus the Dodgers on Wednesday.

Advice: Gray was pitching on short rest after he made a relief appearance versus the Giants on Saturday, so it's not surprising this was a short outing for the veteran. He threw 36 of 65 pitches for strikes, and the lone run on his line was a Shohei Ohtani solo home run in the first inning. Gray is now at a 2.17 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 63:19 K:BB over 62.1 innings through 13 appearances (11 starts) this season. The right-hander should be getting back on a normal schedule moving forward, which puts him tentatively on track to make his next start in a favorable home matchup versus the Mets. • Kirby Yates holds on for ninth save vs. Dodgers
Kirby Yates allowed one run in the ninth inning for the save against the Dodgers on Wednesday.

Advice: Yates was summoned in the ninth inning to close out the game with a two-run lead. He put two runners on with a hit and a walk with two outs before Jason Hayward doubled to bring home a run. Andy Pages would be called out at home on the play to end the game. Yates picks up his ninth save of the season while posting a 1.16 ERA, 0.90 WHIP, and a 29/11 K/BB ratio across 23 1/3 innings. Rotoworld Wednesday, 10:12 pm

    • Jon Gray goes three innings in no-decision
Jon Gray allowed one run with three strikeouts over three innings in a no-decision against the Dodgers on Wednesday.

Advice: Gray served up a solo homer to Shohei Ohtani in the first inning. He worked around a hit in the second and two baserunners in the third before his day was done after three innings at 65 pitches. The 32-year-old right-hander will take a 2.17 ERA, 1.20 WHIP, and a 63/19 K/BB ratio into a start against the Mets in Texas on Monday. Rotoworld Wednesday, 10:11 pm

    • Struggles against Mets
Garrett (2-2) took the loss against the Mets on Wednesday, allowing six runs (four earned) on seven hits and no walks while striking out four batters over 4.2 innings.

Advice: Garrett was tagged by Harrison Bader for a two-run homer in the first inning, and he gave up three more runs in the second. The left-hander settled down a bit from there, but he was pulled with two outs in the fifth inning after serving up a solo shot to Starling Marte. It was the second straight start during which Garrett was unable to complete five frames -- he went just 2.2 innings versus Tampa Bay in his previous appearance. Garrett was great in back-to-back starts May 24 and 29, allowing just one run over 14 frames. However, he's given up at least four earned runs in each of his other four outings and has a poor 6.10 ERA overall this season. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 9:26 pm

    • Falls to Giants
Valdez (5-4) took the loss Wednesday against San Francisco, allowing five runs on eight hits and a walk over five innings. He struck out one.

Advice: It was a tough day for Valdez, who allowed two runs in the third inning before the Giants scored three more in the fourth. The 30-year-old Valdez had allowed just five runs in three starts (22 innings) coming into Wednesday's matchup. The left-hander now sports a 3.99 ERA with a 1.21 WHIP and 51:19 K:BB across 67.2 innings this year. Valdez will look to rebound in his next outing, currently scheduled for early next week on the road versus the White Sox. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 8:21 pm
