    • Kyle Tucker (shin) won’t be ready on Saturday
Astros’ manager Joe Espada told reporters on Friday that Kyle Tucker (shin) will not be ready to be activated from the injured list on Saturday.

Advice: While he noted that Tucker is “moving in the right direction” he also admitted that Tucker is not doing baseball activities yet. While a return at some point over the weekend hasn’t been ruled out yet, it seems unlikely if he’s not doing any baseball activities yet. A more likely scenario has the 27-year-old superstar outfielder returning to action next week. Rotoworld Friday, 2:10 pm

    • Return might come Monday
Turner (hamstring) could be activated from the 10-day injured list Sunday or Monday, Matt Gelb of The Athletic reports.

Advice: While the Phillies have been vague about a timeline for Turner's return, Gelb notes that the shortstop ran again Friday, and while he'll maybe" return Sunday, it will "probably" happen Monday instead, as Philadelphia begins a six-game homestand. Turner has been shelved since early May with a left hamstring strain, and it's looking like he'll skip a rehab assignment. Rotowire.com Friday, 1:57 pm

    • Cole (elbow) set for Triple-A rehab start
Gerrit Cole (elbow) will make a rehab start with Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Friday.

Advice: Cole is getting closer to returning to the big leagues. Depending on how things go for him on Friday, he may be ready to make his next start in the major leagues. That would be a huge boon for the Yankees and fantasy managers. Rotoworld Friday, 12:41 pm

    • Moves up in batting order
Hamilton batted second and went 1-for-5 with a stolen base, an RBI and a run scored in Thursday's 9-3 win over Philadelphia.

Advice: Hamilton's good stretch of hitting led to him batting second for the second consecutive game against a right-hander, and the shortstop extended his hit streak to five games. Since mid-May, when manager Alex Cora started giving him regular run in the starting lineup, Hamilton has slashed .341/.378/.553 with 11 extra-base hits, nine RBI, 14 runs and 10 steals over 26 contests. • Trea Turner (hamstring) running at 100 percent
Trea Turner (hamstring) progressed to running at 100 percent on Thursday.

Advice: Turner is trending towards making his long-awaited return to Philadelphia’s lineup at some point early next week. It sounds like the 30-year-old shortstop will skip a minor-league rehab assignment, but it wouldn’t be shocking to see him get in a couple at-bats over the weekend prior to returning. • Homer, two hits in win
Hamilton went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run and two runs scored in Wednesday's 8-6 win over the Phillies.

Advice: Hamilton singled and came around to score in the fifth inning then hit a two-run homer off Spencer Turnbull in the sixth. Hamilton has been on fire in June, notching his fourth straight multi-hit effort and hitting .333 with two home runs and four stolen bases in 10 games. Injuries have paved the way for Hamilton to receive regular playing time, but he has earned it by hitting .296 with four homers, 10 RBI and 13 steals over 135 plate appearances. • David Hamilton homers, singles in Boston’s win
David Hamilton went 2-for-4 with a two-run homer in leading the Red Sox to an 8-6 win over the Phillies on Wednesday.

Advice: It’s Hamilton’s fourth straight two-hit game, and he’s now hitting .296/.348/.472 for the season. His Statcast numbers aren’t nearly as strong as his actual line, but the improved power from what he showed in the minors is impressive. Both of his hits tonight left the bat at 104-105 mph. • Next rehab start set
Cole (elbow) will make a third rehab a start Friday with Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, Max Goodman of The Newark Star-Ledger reports.

Advice: The right-hander threw 57 pitches over 4.2 innings during his second rehab outing Sunday, and he'll move up to the Triple-A level as he continues building up his workload. Manager Aaron Boone said Wednesday, "we'll see" when asked if it will be Cole's final rehab start, so it's possible he's cleared to make his season debut for the Yankees next week. • Trea Turner (hamstring) trending towards next week
Trea Turner (hamstring) is trending toward a return to the Phillies’ lineup early next week.

Advice: The 30-year-old superstar shortstop ran the bases in Boston on Wednesday and will continue to do more running drills over the next few days. Phillies’ skipper Rob Thomson noted that it’s possible Turner could return before the weekend is through, but they aren’t going to rush him. It sounds like Edmundo Sosa’s viability from a fantasy perspective is coming to an abrupt end very soon. Rotoworld Wednesday, 3:39 pm
