    • Edwin Díaz melts down Monday in ugly blown save
Edwin Díaz was charged with two runs in the ninth inning on Monday against the Phillies in a blown save.

Advice: Not great. Díaz was called upon to guard a two-run lead in the final frame and was unable to slam the door. He served up a solo shot to Bryson Stott to kick things off before drilling Alec Bohm with the bases loaded to push across the game-tying run with two outs in the frame. It was his second blown save in seven chances this season. There’s zero chance of Díaz losing his grip on the closing role in New York, but it’s worth noting that this outing was a real mess. • Perfect day at dish
Reynolds went 5-for-5 with a home run, two doubles and two RBI in Monday's win over the Brewers.

Advice: Reynolds was unstoppable Monday. He had four hits through seven innings, including an RBI double in the third, before capping off his big night with a solo shot to lead off the ninth. He snapped a 13-game homerless drought, during which he registered an ugly .526 OPS. Reynolds improved his slash line to .256/.351/.427 with 17 extra-base hits and 19 RBI through 188 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Today, 8:04 pm

    • Ronald Acuña Jr. plates run in victory over Cubs
Ronald Acuña Jr. went 1-for-3 with an RBI on Monday, leading the Braves to a 2-0 win over the Cubs.

Advice: Acuña extended Atlanta’s lead with a sixth-inning RBI single off Cubs reliever Hayden Wesneski with two outs in the frame after being picked off first base on a pair of occasions by Chicago starter Shota Imanaga earlier in the contest. The 26-year-old fantasy superstar has gotten it going at the dish of late, batting .275 (11-for-40) with two homers and one steal in 10 games since the start of May. Rotoworld Today, 7:46 pm

    • Dealing with cut on throwing hand
Fairbanks was unavailable to pitch Monday night against the Red Sox due to a cut on his right index finger, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Advice: Manager Kevin Cash is hopeful Fairbanks will be available out of the bullpen for Tuesday's matchup. Jason Adam handled the closer duties Monday and could be called upon again Tuesday if Fairbanks can't go. Rotowire.com Today, 7:31 pm
    • Zach Eflin completes five frames to beat Red Sox
Zach Eflin gave up three runs over five innings on Monday in a win over the Red Sox.

Advice: Eflin was tagged for a three-run blast by Tyler O’Neill in the opening frame, but managed to settle in afterwards, keeping Boston’s lineup scoreless for the remainder of his abbreviated outing at Fenway Park. He struck out two and didn’t hand out a free pass for the sixth time in his last seven starts. The 30-year-old control artist will bring a respectable 3.91 ERA, 1.13 WHIP and 41/4 K/BB ratio across 53 innings (nine starts) into a road matchup on Saturday against the division-rival Blue Jays. • Pete Fairbanks unavailable due to cut on finger
Pete Fairbanks was unavailable Monday because of a cut on his right index finger.

Advice: This explains why Jason Adam closed against the Red Sox. The Rays are hopeful Fairbanks will be ready to pitch Tuesday. Rotoworld Today, 7:08 pm
    • Rhys Hoskins exits game with leg injury
Rhys Hoskins left Monday’s game in the second inning with an apparent leg injury.

Advice: Hoskins was hurt running to first base on a single. He was able to walk off the field without much trouble, so hopefully that’s a good sign. Hoskins missed all of last year with a torn ACL in his left knee. Rotoworld Today, 5:23 pm

    • Lifted early vs. Pirates
Hoskins left Monday's game against Pittsburgh after suffering a hamstring injury, Todd Rosiak of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

Advice: Hoskins appeared to tweak something in the bottom of the second inning after singling to right field, and he was immediately removed from the matchup. He's headed to the clubhouse for further evaluation and will be considered day-to-day until more information comes to light. Rotowire.com Today, 5:17 pm

    • Nationals-White Sox postponed
Williams and the Nationals won't play Monday against the White Sox after the game was postponed due to inclement weather in Chicago, Mark Zuckerman of MASNSports.com reports.

Advice: The game will be made up as part of a doubleheader Tuesday. Williams' next start will simply be pushed back a day to one half of the twin bill, and the White Sox will do the same with their scheduled starter for Monday, Chris Flexen. Rotowire.com Today, 3:45 pm
