• Willson Contreras (forearm) to miss 6-8 weeks
Willson Contreras will miss 6-8 weeks after undergoing surgery later this week on his fractured left forearm.

Advice: It’s a significant development for the Cardinals as Contreras will wind up requiring surgery to repair a fractured left forearm that he suffered during Tuesday’s game against the Mets when he was struck by a swing from J.D. Martinez. The 31-year-old backstop should be ready to return sometime around the All-Star break, barring any setbacks. It’ll be Iván Herrera and Pedro Pagés handling the catching duties in his absence. Rotoworld 30 minutes ago
  • Smacks three-run homer
Jeffers went 2-for-4 with a three-run home run during Tuesday's 10-6 loss to the Mariners.

Advice: Jeffers tagged Emerson Hancock for a three-run shot in the third inning to put the Twins ahead 4-2. The long ball was his second in as many games and extended his streak of games with an extra-base hit to six. During that stretch, Jeffers is 7-for-22 (.318) with eight RBI and four runs scored. • Clubs grand slam off bench
Raleigh went 1-for-1 with a grand slam and an additional run scored during Tuesday's 10-6 win over the Twins.

Advice: Raleigh replaced Seby Zavala in the seventh innings and came to the plate with the bases loaded and the Mariners down two. He delivered his first career grand slam to give Seattle the lead and score Mitch Garver, Luis Urias and Dylan Moore. Raleigh reached via walk in his other plate appearance and eventually came around to score on a sac fly by Mitch Haniger. In 32 games, Raleigh has swatted nine home runs and owns a .769 OPS. • Returning to majors
Pages will be recalled from Triple-A Memphis on Wednesday, Katie Woo of The Athletic reports.

Advice: With Willson Contreras (forearm) set to miss the next couple of months, Pages will come up from the minors to serve as the backup catcher to Ivan Herrera. Pages has played in just six games at Triple-A this season, going 4-for-18 with a homer and two RBI, and he'll likely only draw an occasional start while with the Cardinals. • Set for surgery
Contreras said Tuesday that he will undergo surgery on his fractured left forearm within the next several days and will miss 6-to-8 weeks, John Denton of MLB.com reports.

Advice: After getting hit in the forearm by a swing during the second inning of Tuesday's game, Contreras will officially be sidelined for up to two months -- a huge blow to a Cardinals offense that already ranks near the bottom of the NL in OPS (.636) and runs (126). Ivan Herrera is now the favorite to receive the bulk of starts behind the plate while Contreras is out, and it's likely the Cardinals promote Pedro Pages from Triple-A Memphis to be the new backup. • Ryan Jeffers homers, drives in three in loss
Ryan Jeffers went 2-for-4 with a home run and three RBI in Tuesday’s loss to the Mariners.

Advice: Jeffers sent his seventh homer of the season into deep left field to plate Trevor Larnach and Edouard Julien, giving the Twins a 4-2 lead over the Mariners. Jeffers continues to be one of the hottest hitting catchers in the league and is now 6-for-19 with two homers and eight RBI this month. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:00 pm
  • Cal Raleigh hits pinch-hit grand slam vs. Twins
Cal Raleigh went 1-for-1 with a grand slam in the Mariners’ win over the Twins on Tuesday.

Advice: Raleigh came up clutch for the Mariners. Called on to pinch hit in the seventh inning with the bases loaded, Raleigh sent his ninth homer of the season deep into the left field stands for the fourth pinch-hit grand slam in Mariners history. The righty vs. lefty matchup paid off for Raleigh, who made the most of a breaking ball Steven Okert floated over the middle of the plate. Raleigh is hitting just .213 on the season, but leads the Mariners in homers and RBI (20). Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:55 pm
  • Doubles, scores twice in win
Rogers went 2-for-5 with two doubles and two runs scored in Tuesday's 11-7 win over the Guardians.

Advice: Rogers was part of an offensive onslaught for Detroit, and he extended his hitting streak to six games in the process. The catcher is still batting just .194 for the season, though he was batting .125 before his current hitting streak. More concerning is the fact that Rogers only has two home runs through 23 games this year after clubbing 21 long balls in 107 contests last season. However, his recent hot streak provides some hope that the power will come. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:21 pm
  • Logan O’Hoppe has four hits in win
Logan O’Hoppe went 4-for-5 with two RBI in a win over the Pirates on Tuesday.

Advice: All four of O’Hoppe’s hits were singles and only one of them was hit harder than 95 mph, but the 24-year-old won’t be complaining. The catcher was a popular breakout candidate this season and while he hasn’t set the world on fire, his .279/.330/.404 triple slash is solid from the catcher position. He’s not going to get too many RBI opportunities in a depleted lineup, but his 13 on the season is better than nothing. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:05 pm
