• Lane Thomas has SB, game-tying RBI
Lane Thomas went 1-for-4 with an RBI and a steal in a win over the Rockies on Sunday.

Advice: Thomas had been hitless before doubling off Jalen Beeks in the ninth inning to tie the game at 1-1. He then stole third and came around to score on a single by Joey Meneses. Thomas got off to a slow start, but he has been good since coming off the IL, hitting .295/.341/.564 in June with five home runs, 17 RBI, 16 runs scored, and two steals. Congratulations if you were able to buy low while he was hurt. Rotoworld Yesterday, 4:51 pm
  • Byron Buxton goes deep to lead Twins on Sunday
Byron Buxton homered, doubled and drove in a pair of runs on Sunday afternoon, leading the Twins to a 3-0 victory over the Athletics in Oakland.

Advice: Buxton opened the scoring in the ballgame with a monstrous 432-foot (112.7 mph EV) solo shot on the first pitch that he saw from Hogan Harris in the second inning. He then laced a run-scoring double into center field in the seventh inning that extended the Twins’ lead to 2-0. The 30-year-old outfielder finished the day 2-for-3 and is now hitting .245/.294/.408 with five homers and 25 RBI on the season. Rotoworld Yesterday, 4:30 pm
  • Alec Burleson has two hits, two SB in win
Alec Burleson went 2-for-4 with two RBI and two steals in a win over the Giants on Sunday.

Advice: Burleson had an RBI single in the first inning and then another RBI single in the second to give him 32 RBI on the season. The two swipes also gave him five on the year to go along with a .385/.319/.469 slash line. He hits near the top of the lineup pretty much every day and needs to be rostered in more leagues. • Leody Taveras has two hits, SB in win
Leody Taveras went 2-for-4 with two RBI and a steal in a 4-0 win over the Royals on Sunday.

Advice: It was a much-needed strong start for Taveras, who is hitting just .215/.280/.329 on the season and is at risk of losing his job when Evan Carter is eligible to return from the IL. Taveras now has seven steals on the season and has gone 4-for-16 in his last four games. He’ll need more than that to keep his playing time during the second half of the season. • Josh Smith homers in win
Josh Smith went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in a win over the Royals on Sunday.

Advice: Smith took Sam Long deep 383 feet at 102.2 mph for his seventh home run on the season. The 26-year-old has been brilliant filling in for Josh Jung, hitting .303/.391/.478 on the year. Considering his ability to play all over the field, he should be able to fight for consistent playing time even when Jung returns. Provided he keeps hitting like this. Rotoworld Yesterday, 3:01 pm

  • Jarren Duran goes 3-for-5, swipes 20th bag in win
Jarren Duran went 3-for-5 with a double, two RBI and a stolen base Sunday as the Red Sox bested the Reds 7-4.

Advice: It’s great to have Duran running like this again. He opened the season with six steals in six games, totaled five in his next 57 games and now has nine in his last 15 games. He’s tied for sixth in the majors with his 20 steals. Rotoworld Yesterday, 2:30 pm

  • Luke Raley with three hits, homer in loss
Luke Raley went 3-for-4 with a home run, two RBI, and two runs scored on Sunday against the Marlins.

Advice: The Mariners were down 6-0 early Sunday and Raley did everything he could to drag them back in the game. He’s put a miserable April behind him and brought his full-season slash line up to .263/.310/.463 with nine home runs and five stolen bases. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:25 pm

  • Lourdes Gurriel Jr. returns to lineup on Sunday
Lourdes Gurriel Jr. (elbow) has returned to the lineup for Sunday’s game against the Phillies.

Advice: Gurriel is back in Arizona’s lineup to face Phillies southpaw Cristopher Sánchez during Sunday’s series finale following a brief one-game absence due to left elbow soreness. It’s a positive sign that he’s ready to return so quickly and it doesn’t sound like it’s going to be a lingering issue moving forward. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:02 am
  • Back in lineup Sunday
Gurriel (elbow) is starting in left field and batting third in Sunday's series finale against the Phillies, Jody Jackson of Bally Sports Arizona reports..

Advice: Gurriel returns to the lineup Sunday after sitting out of Saturday's 12-1 loss to Philadelphia. He left in the seventh inning of Friday's contest with left elbow soreness, but the injury wasn't severe enough to warrant an X-ray. For the month of June, Gurriel is slashing .333/.352/.536 with four home runs and 12 RBI over 69 at-bats. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 6:52 am
