    • Serves up first homer
Williams came away with a no-decision in the first game of Tuesday's doubleheader against the White Sox, giving up three runs (one earned) on four hits and a walk over five innings. He struck out two.

Advice: The right-hander tossed 48 of 81 pitches for strikes and got burned by some shaky defense behind him, but the one earned run he allowed came on a solo shot by Eloy Jimenez in the second inning -- the first homer Williams had served up this season. It's been an impressive turnaround in that department for the 32-year-old right-hander as he was taken deep 34 times in 2023, most in the National League. Williams will take a 1.94 ERA, 1.06 WHIP and 32:13 K:BB through 41.2 innings into his next outing, which lines up to come this weekend in Philadelphia. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:58 pm
    • Generates quality start
Rodon (4-2) picked up the win Tuesday against Minnesota, allowing one run on six hits and no walks during six innings. He struck out six.

Advice: Rodon turned in his fourth quality start of his last five appearances and didn't issue a four-ball walk for a third straight contest. The lone run charged against him came via a Ryan Jeffers homer in the bottom of the first. After posting a 6.85 ERA in his first season in New York, Rodon has bounced back with a 3.31 ERA through nine starts and is tied for the team lead in wins. Rodon is scheduled to close out a two-start week with a Sunday start against the White Sox -- the team he played his first seven seasons with. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:16 pm
    • Anthony Volpe doubles, drives in one vs. Twins
Anthony Volpe went 2-for-5 with a double and an RBI in Tuesday’s win over the Twins.

Advice: Volpe doubled in the second inning to drive home Gleyber Torres, giving the Yankees their second run of the inning and an early 2-1 lead. Volpe pushed his current hitting streak to seven games in this one and is now slashing .265/.333/.469 for the month of May. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:36 pm

    • Rodón solid through six as Yankees down Twins
Carlos Rodón allowed one earned run over six innings while striking out six and earning the win on Tuesday against the Twins.

Advice: Rodón gave up a leadoff homer to Ryan Jeffers in the first inning but settled in nicely after. Three of the six hits he allowed came in the first inning, as he went on to scatter just three more hits over the following five frames. He lowered his ERA on the season to 3.31 and is now sitting on a 4-2 record through nine starts. He’ll look to pick up his fifth win of the season on Sunday against the White Sox. • Trevor Williams finally allows homer on Tuesday
Trevor Williams was charged with three runs (one earned) over five innings on Tuesday in a no-decision against the White Sox.

Advice: Williams went 37 2/3 innings over seven starts to open the season before finally coughing up a homer when White Sox slugger Eloy Jiménez took him deep into the second inning. The 32-year-old righty hasn’t generated enough strikeouts to make a significant impact for fantasy managers, but he’s been a nice back-end rotation stabilizer in deeper mixed leagues. He’ll bring a sparkling 1.94 ERA, 1.06 WHIP and 32/13 K/BB ratio across 41 2/3 innings (eight starts) into a road matchup on Sunday against the Phillies at hitter-friendly Citizens Bank Park. • Could return Friday
Carter (back) received a cortisone injection and is out of the lineup Tuesday against the Guardians, and he could rejoin the lineup Friday versus the Angels, Evan Grant of The Dallas Morning Newsreports.

Advice: The 21-year-old hasn't seen the field since Saturday and was diagnosed with lower-back inflammation after an MRI on Monday. He'll now be unavailable for at least a couple more days following the injection. Ezequiel Duran is receiving another start in left field Tuesday. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 2:36 pm

    • In lineup as DH on Tuesday
Morel (toe) will start at designated hitter and bat cleanup in Tuesday's game in Atlanta.

Advice: Morel had to exit Monday's contest after fouling a ball off his left foot, but he's fine. It's his first start at DH in more than a week, which will free up third base for Patrick Wisdom on Tuesday. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 1:49 pm

    • Evan Carter (back) not in Tuesday’s lineup
Evan Carter (back) is absent from the lineup for Tuesday’s contest against the Guardians.

Advice: Carter is targeting a return to the Rangers’ lineup later this week after receiving a cortisone injection on Wednesday to address lower back inflammation. The 21-year-old outfielder appears likely to avoid the injured list, barring something unexpected, and should be ready to roll at some point in a couple days. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:42 pm

    • Five-game hitting streak
Alvarez went 2-for-3 with a walk Monday against the Athletics.

Advice: Alvarez extended his hitting streak to five games with the performance, which was his fourth multi-hit performance in that span. He's also scored four runs and driven in another two during the sample. The strong stretch has also brought his batting average up to .264 across 180 plate appearances on the season, and that mark should continue to rise as the campaign progresses.
