    • Snaps out of funk
Garcia went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and an additional run scored during Tuesday's 7-4 loss to the Guardians.

Advice: Garcia entered Tuesday's game batting .154 in May but delivered his first homer since Apr. 28 and his first multi-hit game since Apr. 21. Even with the cold spell, Garcia is slashing .247/.297/.449 across 175 plate appearances with a .202 ISO, which isn't too far off his 2022 and 2023 numbers. Rotowire.com 11 minutes ago
    • Andy Pages takes golden sombrero in victory
Andy Pages went 0-for-5 with four strikeouts while the rest of the Dodgers were scoring 10 runs Tuesday against the Giants.

Advice: Jason Heyward has started a rehab assignment, so this is a really bad time for Pages to go cold. He seems like the more interesting of those two players at this point, but the Dodgers still might send him down if they think Heyward can make at least a modest contribution. • Adolis Garcia homers in two-hit night vs. CLE
Adolis Garcia went 2-for-4 with a home run and two runs scored in Tuesday’s loss to the Guardians.

Advice: Garcia’s ninth homer of the season came on a solo blast off Cleveland’s Ben Lively. It was the first homer of the month for Garcia, who has cooled off in a big way after a strong April. Garcia entered the day slashing .154/.193/.173 in the month of May and has become difficult to trust in fantasy as a result. Managers who are unwilling to bench him will have to hope he comes out of this slump sooner rather than later. Hopefully, Tuesday’s two-hit night is a step in the right direction. • Taillon doomed by poor 4th inning in loss to ATL
Jameson Taillon allowed seven runs (two earned) on seven hits in four innings in a loss to the Braves on Tuesday.

Advice: Taillon allowed just one run on four hits in the first three innings, with three of those hits coming in the first. He started off the fourth inning by allowing a home run to Michal Harris II but then Taillon committed a fielding error and would later throw a wild pitch, both of which extended the inning and caused the right-hander to throw more pitches, allow more hits, and more unearned runs. It was a sloppy inning that overshadowed Taillon’s impressive 28 percent whiff rate with 12 whiffs coming on 43 swings. His sweeper and cutter were particularly strong on the day, but he struggled with his command and the Braves made him pay. Taillon will carry a 1.61 ERA into a start against the Pirates this weekend and is a strong streaming candidate for that game. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:43 pm

    • Idle Tuesday
Steer isn't in the Reds' lineup for Tuesday's game against the Diamondbacks.

Advice: Steer will catch a breather Tuesday after extending his hitting streak to five games while also driving in two runs during Monday's loss. Jacob Hurtubise will get the nod to start in left field and bat ninth while Steer rests. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 4:06 pm

    • Spencer Steer getting rare day off on Tuesday
Spencer Steer is not in the lineup for Tuesday’s showdown against the Diamondbacks.

Advice: It’s a rare off day for Steer, who has started to heat up at the dish recently with at least one hit in each of his last five contests, raising his batting average nearly 20 points from .234 to .248 in the process. Rotoworld Yesterday, 3:29 pm

    • Austin Riley sitting out again Tuesday vs. Cubs
Austin Riley (side) remains absent from the lineup for Tuesday’s showdown against the Cubs.

Advice: The Braves received positive news earlier this week when an MRI revealed only left side inflammation rather than an oblique strain. The 27-year-old fantasy stalwart remains day-to-day and appears likely to avoid a trip to the injured list at the moment. He should benefit from Thursday’s off-day giving him additional time to rest and recover, so it wouldn’t be surprising to see him return for Friday’s series opener against the Padres. • Remains out Tuesday
Riley (side) remains out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Cubs.

Advice: Atlanta received good news when an MRI revealed merely inflammation in Riley's left side rather than a strain. However, he is likely still sore and will miss a second straight start. With a scheduled off day coming Thursday, it wouldn't be a surprise to see Atlanta hold Riley out until Friday just to be safe. Zack Short is getting another start at third base Tuesday. • Escapes with no-decision
Yamamoto allowed four runs on five hits and two walks while striking out six over 5.2 innings in a no-decision versus the Giants on Monday.

Advice: The Giants took an early lead with Luis Matos' three-run home run in the second inning, and Heliot Ramos added an RBI single in the sixth, which ended Yamamoto's start. This ended Yamamoto's run of four straight quality starts. The right-hander has four scoreless outings on his ledger, but he's also given up three or more runs four times in nine starts. He's at a strong 3.21 ERA, 1.03 WHIP and 53:10 K:BB over 47.2 innings this season. Yamamoto is projected to make his next start at home versus the Reds. Rotowire.com Monday, 10:37 pm
