      Advice: Morton rolled through six easy innings before Francisco Lindor broke up with the shutout with a solo shot in the seventh. Since allowing 10 total runs in two starts April 8 and 14, Morton has turned in four straight quality starts. During that stretch, his season ERA has dropped from 5.29 to 3.14 through 43 innings.     • Charlie Morton punches out seven Mets in win
      Charlie Morton turned back the clock Friday with seven strikeouts across seven innings in the Braves 4-to-2 win over the Mets. He allowed three hits, one walk, and one run while earning the victory.

      Advice: The only blemish on Morton’s ledger was a late solo shot from Francisco Lindor. He was in complete control on a rainy night in Queens and looked like vintage Morton. He’s had a fantastic start to his age-40 season with a 3.14 ERA across seven starts. Rotoworld Friday, 7:52 pm

    • Crushed for six runs in loss
      Gray (4-2) took the loss against the Brewers on Thursday, allowing six runs on seven hits and one walk while striking out six over five innings.

      Advice: The Brewers got to Gray early and often, scoring three times off the right-hander in the first inning before tacking on single runs in the second, fourth and fifth frames. Gray allowed season highs in hits (seven), runs (six) and home runs (three) in the contest and also failed to go at least six innings for the first time in his last five starts.       Sonny Gray was torched for six runs over five innings on Thursday in a loss to the Brewers.

      Advice: Gray was tagged for a season-high three round-trippers in this one after allowing just one long ball in his previous five starts combined. The dismal outing also snapped a five-start streak in which he allowed two earned runs or fewer to kick off his Cardinals debut. The only positives here were that he struck out six and only issued one walk.       Kirby (3-3) was hit with the loss against the Twins on Wednesday, allowing four runs on four hits and one walk over five innings. He struck out four.

      Advice: Kirby didn't have his best stuff Wednesday, surrendering back-to-back home runs to Carlos Correa and Trevor Larnach in the first inning, along with a third long ball off the bat of Willi Castro in the following frame. The right-hander had not allowed more than one home run in a start coming in and had held opponents to one or fewer runs in each of his previous three outings.       George Kirby allowed four runs with four strikeouts over five innings in a loss against the Twins on Wednesday.

      Advice: Kirby surrendered a pair of solo homers to Trevor Larnach and Carlos Correa in the first inning. Willi Castro got to Kirby in the second with a solo blast before driving in a fourth run with a triple in the fourth. Kirby tossed one more scoreless frame, ending his day after five at 70 pitches. The 26-year-old right-hander holds a 4.15 ERA, 1.04 WHIP, and a 45/5 K/BB ratio across 43 1/3 innings. He’s lined up for a start against the Royals in Seattle on Monday.       Advice: Harrison twirled another gem Tuesday night, this time in hitter-friendly Coors Field. He tossed a career-best seven scoreless frames and has now allowed just one run over his last 18 innings pitched. Harrison battled control issues in Triple-A, but he seems to have shrugged off any concerns thus far. Through eight starts, Harrison has gone at least six innings and issued two or fewer walks five times.
