      Clase (4-1) pitched a perfect inning to earn the win Tuesday over the White Sox.

      Advice: Clase kept the game tied at 6-6 in the top of the ninth inning, needing just 10 pitches to retire the side. Bo Naylor's sacrifice fly in the bottom of the frame sealed the win for the Guardians, giving Clase his first decision since May 19. The closer is on an eight-inning scoreless streak and has maintained elite ratios with a 0.67 ERA, 0.62 WHIP and 39:4 K:BB through 40.1 innings overall.     • Christian Yelich collects three hits in victory
      Christian Yelich went 3-for-5 with a double as the Brewers eked out a one-run victory over the Rockies on Tuesday night at Coors Field.

      Advice: Yelich smacked a one-out double off of Ryan Feltner in the third inning, but the Brewers couldn’t cash him in. He then singled in the fifth inning but was picked off of first base. Yelich also singled during the team’s two-run rally in the ninth inning.       Helsley earned a save against the Pirates on Tuesday, striking out one in a perfect ninth inning.

      Advice: Helsley was asked to protect a 7-4 lead in the ninth inning and did so on 17 pitches.       Reynaldo López allowed two runs over 4 1/3 innings while striking out six in Tuesday’s loss to the Giants.

      Advice: López was pulled after 101 pitches, as the veteran righty allowed base runners on the night, with four coming via the walk. López gave up a solo homer to Jorge Soler in the fifth inning and later saw LaMonte Wade Jr. take him deep to tie the game at 2-2 before being pulled after retiring the next batter. López has allowed two earned runs or less in his last six outings but has walked four batters in back-to-back games.       Ryan Helsley threw a scoreless ninth inning to pick up a save in a 7-4 win over the Pirates on Tuesday.

      Emmanuel Clase pitched a scoreless ninth inning in a 7-6 win over the White Sox on Tuesday.

      Advice: Clase pitched the ninth in a tie game and allowed no runs with no hits, no strikeouts, and no walks. He then earned a win when the Guardians scored off Michael Kopech in the bottom of the inning. He now has a 4-1 record to go along with 25 saves on the season. Pretty, pretty, pretty good.       Realmuto (knee) participated in receiving drills and hit on the field ahead of Thursday's road game against the Cubs, Corey Seidman of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports.

      Advice: The veteran catcher has recently been hitting in the batting cage but is now ready to hit on the field for the first time since undergoing meniscus surgery June 12. Realmuto still has significant work to do in his rehab program, but a return shortly after the All-Star break appears to be a reasonable target for his activation.       Advice: It’s the lowest Rodriguez has batted in the majors in quite some time as his frosty start to the 2024 campaign continues. The 23-year-old generational talent has really struggled to get going this season at the plate, batting .247/.297/.327 with seven homers and 17 steals across 360 plate appearances. He’s been ice-cold of late, hitting .069 (2-for-29) over his last seven games. It’s possible taking some pressure off him to produce in the heart of Seattle’s lineup will help him get back on track.       Garrett earned the save in Monday's 9-7 win over the Nationals. He faced two batters, allowing one hit and striking out one.

      Advice: With Edwin Diaz still out due to suspension, Garrett entered with a three-run lead and two outs in the 10th inning. The previous reliever, Tyler Jay, left runners on first and second to clean up. After allowing a run-scoring single to Keibert Ruiz, Garrett punched out Luis Garcia to bring New York back to .500.
