• Homers in Wednesday's win
Abreu went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run and a walk in Wednesday's 8-5 win over the Rays.

Advice: Abreu delivered the final scoring play for the Red Sox in this contest when he took Rays reliever Kevin Kelly deep in the sixth inning. Over the last four games, Abreu has gone 6-for-15 (.400) with five RBI and three extra-base hits. The 24-year-old outfielder continues to play well in a strong-side platoon role, slashing .275/.357/.486 with five homers, 20 RBI, 22 runs scored and seven stolen bases over 157 plate appearances this season. • Wilyer Abreu homers in win
Wilyer Abreu went 2-for-4 with a two-run homer, single, and walk in the Red Sox 8-5 win over the Rays on Wednesday.

Advice: Abreu scalded his home run at 107.1 MPH and has left very little doubt this season that he can hit right-handed pitchers. He’s been in the lineup against every righty since April 9th while facing just three lefties over the same span. He’s a great asset in daily leagues where you can mix and match him the same way the Red Sox do. Rotoworld Today, 6:44 pm

  • Bobby Witt Jr. plates two in victory over Tigers
Bobby Witt Jr. went 2-for-4 with a pair of RBI on Wednesday, leading the Royals to an 8-3 victory over the Tigers.

Advice: Witt did his damage in the late stages of the contest, tacking on a pair of insurance runs with a two-run double in the seventh inning. The 23-year-old fantasy superstar is on fire at the moment, batting .370 (10-for-27) with two homers and one steal over his last seven games. Rotoworld Today, 2:39 pm
  • Takes loss in suspended game
Webb (0-3) allowed a run on one walk over two-thirds of an inning, taking the loss in Tuesday's game versus the Cardinals after it resumed Wednesday.

Advice: Webb walked Ivan Herrera before exiting the contest in the sixth inning. Keegan Akin proceeded to give up a two-run home run to Nolan Gorman, but Webb was responsible for the go-ahead run. Over seven innings in May, Webb has allowed five runs (three earned) with a 6:9 K:BB. He's still earned some high-leverage looks despite his shaky control, and he's sporting a 2.66 ERA, 1.28 WHIP and 21:12 K:BB through 20.1 innings overall. He's added two saves and four holds over 24 appearances, but the bulk of the closing duties are expected to belong to Craig Kimbrel or Yennier Cano. Rotowire.com Today, 10:28 am

  • Sitting against southpaw
Melendez is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Tigers.

Advice: The lefty-hitting Melendez will head to the bench for the series finale while the Tigers bring ace southpaw Tarik Skubal to the bump. Nelson Velazquez will spell Melendez in left field. Rotowire.com Today, 8:41 am

  • Not in lineup
Senzel is absent from the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Twins, Andrew Golden of The Washington Post reports.

Advice: Senzel went 0-for-5 with a walk in the first two games of the series and will receive a day off for the finale. The Nationals will roll with Ildemaro Vargas at third base against Simeon Woods Richardson and the Twins. Rotowire.com Today, 8:10 am

  • Nabs win in 10th
Bednar (3-3) picked up the win Tuesday, striking out one in a perfect 10th inning during a 7-6 victory over the Giants.

Advice: After the Pirates rallied for four runs in the ninth, Bednar got the call for the top of the 10th and set down three straight pinch hitters in Mike Yastrzemski, LaMonte Wade and Patrick Bailey. The right-hander then got rewarded when Nick Gonzales walked it off by singling on the first pitch he saw in the bottom of the frame. Bednar has turned things around following a bumpy first month of the season, and over 10 appearances in May he's posted a 2.89 ERA, 1.07 WHIP and 7:3 K:BB through 9.1 innings while converting all five of his save chances and chipping in two wins. • Javier Assad walks five, gets lifted in fifth
Javier Assad yielded three runs — two earned — in 4 2/3 innings Tuesday against the Braves.

Advice: This really should have been worse, considering that Assad gave up two homers and walked five batters. Still, his ERA remained intact at 1.70, and though he left with the Cubs down by a run, he avoided taking what would have been his first loss in 10 starts this year. He’ll make his next start in St. Louis on Sunday. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:32 pm

  • Walk-off hit in return
Hoerner went 1-for-5 with one RBI in Tuesday's 4-3 extra-inning win over Atlanta.

Advice: Hoerner had a relatively unimpressive return after missing over a week with a hamstring issue, but he made up for it with a one-out, walk-off single in the 10th inning. The infielder is slashing .267/.357/.385 with two home runs, 13 RBI, 25 runs scored and five stolen bases over 185 plate appearances. Hoerner's return will likely mean less playing time for Nick Madrigal moving forward, assuming Hoerner doesn't suffer a setback with his hamstring. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:31 pm
